8:00 pm – “Marge vs. The Monorail” (Season 4) – An unscrupulous profiteer sells the people of Springfield on a defective monorail system, with Homer as the conductor.  Song highlighted at Bowl event: “Monorail Song.”

8:30 pm – “Homer’s Barbershop Quartet” (Season 5) – Homer recounts his phenomenal rise to superstardom as a member of the barbershop quartet, The Be Sharps. Song: “Baby on Board.”

9:00 pm – “Homer the Great” (Season 6) – Homer’s popularity skyrockets when he is chosen as the leader of a secret organization. Song: “We Do – The Stonecutters Song.”

9:30 pm – “Two Dozen and One Greyhounds” (Season 6) – Bart and Lisa attempt to rescue 25 greyhound puppies from Mr. Burns, who wants to use their hides for a new tuxedo. Song: “See My Vest.”

10:00 pm – “Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part 2” (Season 7) – Lisa aids police with the investigation of the Burns shooting. Song: “Señor Burns.”

10:30 pm – “A Fish Called Selma” (Season 7) – Troy McClure stages a Hollywood comeback when he begins dating Selma. Songs:  “Dr. Zaius” and “Chimpan A to Chimpan Z.”

11:00 pm – “Bart After Dark” (Season 8) – While Marge is out of town, Homer allows Bart to work at a burlesque house. Song: “We Put the Spring in Springfield.”

The 26th season of The Simpsons is set to premiere Sunday, September 28th at 8:00 with a one-hour episode.

Stan (Seth MacFarlane) is interviewed by an intimidating insurance inspector (guest voice Terry Crews) when his “rubbernecking” causes a massive traffic accident. Meanwhile, Roger (MacFarlane) and Klaus (Dee Bradley Baker) spill wine on the new couch, and plan to cover it up by sitting on the stained spot for the rest of their lives.

In the milestone 550th episode, Homer (Dan Castellaneta) finds himself in a world where Marge (Julie Kavner), Bart, Lisa (Yeardley Smith), Maggie and the rest of Springfield’s residents are made of LEGO bricks, and he must figure out a way home before he’s stuck in the world of bricks forever.

FAMILY GUY (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “Meg Stinks!”
Meg (Mila Kunis) has fun partying with Peter when he takes her to a college for an interview. Meanwhile, Brian (Seth MacFarlane) must learn how to live in the wild when he gets sprayed by a skunk and is prohibited from entering the house.

COSMOS: A SPACETIME ODYSSEY (9:00-10:00PM ET/PT) – “The Lost Worlds of Planet Earth”
The Ship of the Imagination embarks on a journey through space and time to grasp how the autobiography of the earth is written in its atoms, its oceans, its continents and all living things. Later, American geologist Marie Tharp (guest voice Amanda Seyfried) creates the first true map of Earth’s ocean floor, and discovers microscopic life that exists deep beneath the ocean.

The team with the most impressive dishes earns an elaborate trip to Las Vegas, while the losing team stays behind to transform the restaurant for the party. Later, Chef Ramsay puts the pressure on the chefs to execute a flawless dinner service, but each of the teams struggles to communicate with each other, delaying the dinner service.

AMERICAN IDOL XIII (9:00-9:30 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) – “1 of 5 Voted Off”
In another nail-biting LIVE results show, the finalist who receives the fewest votes will be eliminated from the race for the title.

SURVIVING JACK (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “She Drives Me Crazy”
In an effort to have Rachel (Claudia Lee) more engaged in school and take her future seriously, Jack (Christopher Meloni) gets her a spot on the wrestling team, much to the chagrin of the wrestling coach (guest star Neil Flynn, “The Middle”). In the ultimate adaptability challenge, the remaining contestants are given 30 minutes to shine and create entrées made up of the surprise ingredients hidden under four domes. Chef Ramsay and VIP guest judge Chef Michael Cimarusti will determine which team will go down the coast for a scenic lunch and volleyball lesson with Kerri Walsh Jennings and which team will stay behind to do all the chores for the servers at HELL’S KITCHEN. Later, tensions rise as Chef Ramsay announces it is time for one-on-one performance evaluations, and then he decides to do something never done before in the history of HELL’S KITCHEN.

Chef Ramsay travels to Redondo Beach, CA, to visit Zayna Flaming Grill, a Mediterranean restaurant owned and operated by aunt-and-niece duo Faye and Brenda. Faye believes she has the weight of the entire restaurant on her shoulders, while Brenda does not feel she is treated as an equal in the partnership. With tensions rising, the food not up to standards and everyone playing the blame game, Chef Ramsay is faced with one of the stickiest situations he’s ever encountered.

However, it’s not all good news, as finale dates for both Rake and Enlisted have yet to be confirmed, not a positive sign for their future on the network. While Hell’s Kitchen will air into the summer, its finale date also currently unknown, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is set to conclude its first season on March 25th and the one-hour series finale of Raising Hope will premiere Friday, April 4th.

FOX will unveil its fall 2014 schedule on Monday, May 12th.

The episode, titled “Brick Like Me” will see Homer wake up in a new kind of Springfield – one in which everyone and everything is made out of Legos.  As the episode’s logline asks: “Can he ‘put together’ how he got there and somehow figure out how to get home before he is stuck in a world of bricks forever?”

The special Lego episode is also the series’ 550th show.

The Simpsons returns with two new episodes on March 9th, beginning at 7:30 PM, and beginning in August 2014 FXX will become the show’s cable home and begin airing the previous 24 seasons in syndication.

“For more than a quarter of a century, The Simpsons has captured the hearts and minds of fans in a way that transcends ages, languages and cultures,” said FOX Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly. “This groundbreaking series is not only the longest-running scripted show in television history, it’s one of the greatest sitcoms of our time, and I’m looking forward to yet another landmark season.”

There had been some speculation that the series could be on its last legs, considering that it went into this season without having secured a renewal. Contract negotiations between the cast, creators, and network were rather messy the last time they were forced to come to the same table, but this time, it was a much quieter affair that keeps Animation Domination alive for at least one more season. The only show that will be leaving the lineup is American Dad!, as it moves to TBS for its next season, so midseason offering Murder Police has a fairly strong shot at sticking around if it performs even near the level that it needs to. However, there’s always a chance that FOX could use the changing of the guard to attempt to reintroduce live-action comedy back into the lineup, especially if Murder Police is a bust and they don’t have enough time to order a new animated series for 2014-2015.

The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8:00 on FOX.
