Lifetime has released an extended promo for the second season of Witches of East End. Set to Marilyn Manson’s “The Beautiful People”, the video is decidedly darker in tone and in imagery than the first season of the show, but it does contain some hints about what to expect come season two.
Namely, the hooded figure at the end, which likely represents new cast member Christian Cooke, whose casting was announced earlier this month. However, details of his role weren’t revealed upon the casting announcement and with him being the only new cast member for the second season, it stands to reason that the figure is supposed to be him. But who could that figure actually be? One guess is Frederick, the Beauchamp brother who was left behind in Asgard. Joanna might have wavered on staying in the mortal realm last season, her guilt over leaving Frederick and escaping the kingdom with her girls proving to be overwhelming, but there’s no guarantee that her reunion with her son would be a happy occasion. All those years being away from his mother could have hardened him toward her, Wendy, and his sisters, to the point where he begins targeting them individually in hopes of bringing them down as a whole.
The second season of Witches of East End is set to premiere Sunday, July 6th at 9:00 on Lifetime. You can check out a recap of the first season finale here.
