Katherine Heigl does not just come across as a stunningly beautiful blonde actress, there is much more to this diva than just her drop-dead gorgeous looks. Nicknamed as “Katie”, she is the youngest in her family, with two siblings, John and Meg. The tragic death of her brother Jason in 1986 gave Heigl a new-found respect for life and eventually, led her to promote the noble cause of organ donation, working as the spokesperson for Donation Life America. Popularly known for her role as Dr. Isobel “Izzie” Stevens in the ABC Medical drama Grey”s Anatomy, Heigl departed the show after season 6 to spend more time with her family. Heigl started her career early, working as a child model with the renowned Wilhemina Modeling Agency and her film debut came with the film That Night. She was 14 when she played her first lead role in a comedy film, My Father the Hero and that was the time she was attending New Cannan High School. She is reported to make a television comeback with a CIA Drama show on NBC.

 

Katherine Heigl married singer Josh Kelly in 2007 and have two adopted daughters, Nancy Leigh and Adalaide Marie Hope.
