While Maksim Chmerkovsky and Henry Byalikov won’t return as pros this season, the series will have three new pros in Emmy nominee Allison Holker, Strictly Come Dancing pro Artem Chigvintsev, and South African Latin American ballroom champion Keoikantse Motsepe.

The 19th season of Dancing with the Stars is set to premiere Monday, September 15th at 8:00 on ABC.

SHARK TANK – “Episode 522” – An 11-year old fashionista from Memphis, Tennessee has already captured Oprah’s attention with his line of hand-crafted bow ties for people of all ages which he makes with his family members. But can he cut a deal in the Tank with Daymond John or another Shark? Two men from Linden, Utah present their new hot beverage made from roasted cocoa beans roasted like coffee which is packed with antioxidants, and a college student from Provo, Utah created his own blend of nutritional supplements to help focus, mental agility, and overall brain health. Two Boston men operate a popular 5K obstacle course race series in 20 cities that features 100′ foot water slides, fire and water hazards, as well as other “epic” obstacles. Will the Sharks buy in?  Also, an update on Brandon and Keith Marz from Van Nuys, California,  Leander, TX and their Marz Sprays, oral vitamin atomizers which are a tasty, easy way to get daily nutrients, in which Lori invested last season. “Shark Tank” airs FRIDAY, APRIL 25 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

SHARK TANK: SWIMMING WITH SHARKS – In the high pressure world of “Shark Tank,” entrepreneurs battle to win a better future for themselves and their companies. Featuring updates on more than a dozen of the show’s most memorable and controversial entrepreneurs, “Shark Tank: Swimming with Sharks” goes behind the scenes of the hit reality show and reveals what happens after the deals are made and the entrepreneurs plunge into the uncharted waters of the shark-eat-shark business world. Anchored by “Good Morning America’s” Lara Spencer, “Shark Tank: Swimming With Sharks” is an all-new special made to give viewers a unique look behind-the-scenes of ABC’s hit show, “Shark Tank,” airing FRIDAY, MAY 2 (8:00-9:00 p.m./ET). In keeping with the evening’s theme, an all-new, original episode of “Shark Tank” will air immediately following (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

SHARK TANK – “Episode 526” – An entrepreneur from Marina Del Rey, CA wants an investment in his e-commerce flower business, which offers bouquets shipped direct from farms on an active volcano for just $40 flat. A man from Encinitas, CA thinks his anti-aging lifting strips for mouth wrinkles is a game changer. A 19-year-old from Plano, TX invented a “breakaway” hanger as a third-grader which collapses under pressure for easy on and off, and two friends from Brooklyn, NY pitch their compostable party tableware made from renewable plant materials. And, Kevin O’Leary follows up on his and Mark Cuban’s recent investment in Groovebook, which tripled its sales in just 5 days after airing earlier this season and also drops by “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” This episode of “Shark Tank” airs FRIDAY, MAY 2 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

SHARK TANK – “Episode 525” – Self-professed wine connoisseur Kevin O’Leary gives advice to a lady from Solano Beach, CA on her lighter, healthier alternative to a full-bodied wine. Likewise, Robert Herjavec has some suggestions for a former merchant marine from Anacortes, WA on his innovative, deep-sea treasure hunting business. Three men from San Francisco, CA hope to paddle their way into a deal with a collapsible kayak that folds up like the traditional Japanese art of origami, and a couple from Pleasant Hill, CA reveal to the Sharks the surprising twist they put into their decadent cinnamon rolls. Also, an update on Jim Tselikis and Sabin Lomac from Los Angeles, CA and their Maine lobster roll food truck business, which Barbara Corcoran invested in during Season 4, on “Shark Tank,” FRIDAY, MAY 9 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

SHARK TANK – SEASON FINALE – “Episode 527” – A college sophomore from Oak Brook, IL raised in a traditional Indian family, wants to make her own American dream come true with her flat-folding, reusable storage box. A couple from Carmel, IN hope to cook up a deal with their reinvented cookware, two exuberant moms from Beverly Hills, CA have taken the pain out of shoe shopping for your kids with an iPad app that measures foot sizes, and two men from Aurora, IL designed a quick, simple solution to tying up a water balloon. In a first of its kind follow-up, many of the amazing success stories from “Shark Tank” are highlighted, with the entrepreneurs discussing their experiences and how their businesses have grown since coming to the Tank, on the Season Finale of “Shark Tank,” FRIDAY, MAY 16 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

BARBARA WALTERS: HER STORY – TWO HOUR SPECIAL – After more than five decades of entertaining and informing generations of Americans, Barbara Walters says goodbye to daily television. Following an eight-episode uninterrupted run for Scandal that concludes April 17th, The Black Box is set to premiere Thursday, April 24th at 10:00. The series, written by Amy Holden-Jones (Mystic Pizza) and showran by Ilene Chaiken (The L Word), stars Kelly Reilly (Sherlock Holmes) as world-famous neurologist Catherine Black, who’s hiding the fact that she’s bipolar from her co-workers. Also featured on The Black Box are Laura Fraser (Breaking Bad), Terry Kinney (Oz), and Vanessa Redgrave (Howard’s End).

The 18th season of Dancing with the Stars will premiere Monday, March 17th at 8:00, retaining the same once per week scheduling it had during the fall. However, the cast of celebrities that will compete for the Mirrorball has yet to be revealed. Finally, Mind Games, originally slated to premiere Tuesday, March 11th, will now bow Tuesday, February 25th at 10:00, where it will replace Killer Women. Starring Steve Zahn (Treme) and Christian Slater (Breaking In), the series follows two brothers who run a problem solving firm that uses solutions based in psychological manipulation. In addition to Zahn and Slater, Mind Games stars Megalyn Echikunwoke (Spyder Games), Jaime Ray Newman (Red Widow), and Gregory Marcel (The Good Shepherd).

So how will it work?  Each week viewers will vote for their favorite performance, and the following Monday a couple will be eliminated after each of those tallies is combined with the judges’ scores for the night.

This season, ABC opted for a more concentrated approach to premiering their programming, as they were still launching series in late October last season. Now, though, they have a few on either side of Premiere Week and will focus their attention on premiering a fair amount of their programming together. Interestingly, they’ll be facing the entirety of the CBS lineup during Premiere Week, which could eat into the live numbers for both networks and show why a staggered approach might be best for all involved.

While the move makes sense and isn’t without precedent, as ABC scaled back The Bachelor to one cycle a year to extend its life following low ratings, it might have the most impact on the ABC shows that surround it. Dancing with the Stars takes up three hours of weekly scheduling space twice a year for a combined 22 weeks, so cutting that time in half could breathe new life in the chances for some of ABC’s more marginally rated shows. Of course, the network may love its development and would rather stack its schedule with promising new shows than keep on a poor performer, but something like critically-loved Happy Endings, which is nearing syndication, could benefit from the breathing room.

ABC has incentive to keep the comedy on, as ABC Studios co-produces it along with Sony, a company known for doing whatever it takes to get their series into syndication. On a creative level, having guaranteed syndication could benefit the already strong comedy, allowing them to go bigger and explore more without fear of ratings blowback. Considering the level that its reached this season after being moved from the coveted post-Modern Family slot, what do they have to lose?

The 16th season of Dancing with the Stars premieres Monday, March 18th at 8:00 on ABC, with the first results show airing Tuesday, March 26th at 9:00.
