Syfy has announced that they’ve acquired the 10-episode second season of supernatural thriller Bitten, which will premiere in 2015. The first season of the series averaged 1.1 million viewers in L+7 data.
Said Chris Regina, Senior Vice President, Programming, Syfy: “Bitten is a fast-paced and edgy series which has found a growing and passionate fan base on our channel. We’re delighted to bring the series back to Syfy next year.”
Based on the Women of the Otherworld novel series by Kelley Armstrong, Bitten tells the story of Elena Michaels, the lone female werewolf in existence. After distancing herself from her pack and moving to Canada to start a life away from all things wolf, Elena finds herself pulled back to the States when bodies start popping up on the grounds of her pack’s estate. Once back home, she must deal with her feelings on being a werewolf and the complicated relationships she has with each member of her pack, including former lover Clay.
Bitten stars Laura Vandervoort (Smallville), Greyston Holt (Alcatraz), Greg Bryk (A History of Violence), Steve Lund (Being Erica), and Michael Xavier (The Best Years).
Production on the second season of Bitten begins this summer in Toronto. You can check out a recap of the first season finale here.
