On the next episode of Don’t Trust the B— in Apt. 23, June does the unthinkable; she tells James that she doesn’t think that he’s sexy. To his face, no less. She thinks that he has all the “parts” necessary to be sexy, but once they’re all put together, it’s a very meh package, which of course drives him up the wall. James has been in an industry that is extremely image-oriented for decades and lived through life as a teen idol, lusted after by girls during his run on Dawson’s Creek. His face has been plastered on bedroom walls all over the world – sexuality is kind of his thing, a major part of his identity as an actor.

But what do you do when someone tells you that you’re not sexy? Do you do some work on your self-esteem to get you more comfortable with yourself? Do you begin making positive changes to your lifestyle in order to improve your health, in addition to your appearance?

In the case of the Beek, you try to get on the cover of People for the validation that you need. Chloe, who isn’t a fan of People Magazine’s annual Sexiest Man Alive issue, decides to help James get on the cover to prove a point to June. However, with the chance of him gracing the cover increasing, June finds herself extremely attracted to James, due in part to her obsession with the issue. Will that last if he doesn’t get the cover over Ryan Gosling?
