According to The Hollywood Reporter, Skyler Samuels (The Nine Lives of Chloe King) is set to recur on the upcoming season of American Horror Story. Though details about her role are being kept under wraps, she’ll be appearing in multiple episodes as a Jupiter, Florida citizen who finds herself in a tough position.
Taking place in the 1950s, American Horror Story: Freak Show centers on a traveling carnival whose stop in the sleepy hamlet of Jupiter brings about a dark force that puts performer and local alike in serious danger. Purported to be darker in tone and content than Coven, which focused more on the supernatural than on horror, the season is said to focus on the performers’ fight for survival as they look for ways to combat the evil that threatens to swallow them whole.
American Horror Story: Freak Show stars Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, and Michael Chiklis. The show recently picked up four Emmy awards, including one for Lange’s turn as outgoing witch supreme Fiona Goode.
In addition to her role on the ABC Family supernatural drama, Samuels has appeared on the likes of The Gates, Wizards of Waverly Place, and That’s So Raven.
American Horror Story: Freak Show is slated to premiere Wednesday, October 8th at 10:00 on FX. You can check out the first nine teasers from the show here, as well as the extended Freak Show trailer here.
