‘Orange is the New Black’ Gets ‘Arrested Development’ Treatment

To campaign Orange is the New Black‘s season two, Netflix has given the series an intro a la one of its other series – Arrested Development.
Netflix streams the first three seasons of Arrested Development and picked up a fourth as an original production and has borrowed the laffer’s opening bit as a treatment for Orange is the New Black. The streaming service even got Ron Howard, executive producer and narrator of Arrested to voice the intro.
Season two of Orange is the New Black streams on Netflix on Friday. It has also already been renewed for a third season.
The dramety was created by Jenji Kohan and is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison. The series stars Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Jason Biggs, Kate Mulgrew, Laverne Cox, Pablo Schreiber, Danielle Brooks, Taryn Manning and Uzo Abuda.
