20th Screen Actors Guild Nominations Announced

Another day, another awards body releasing its nominees for the best television of the year. This time, it’s the Screen Actors Guild’s turn, as nominations for the 20th annual ceremony were released Wednesday morning. On the television side, there were no real surprises, with the likes of Boardwalk Empire, Homeland, and Breaking Bad receiving multiple nominations. 30 Rock garnered three nods for its final stretch of episodes, including one that gives Alec Baldwin a chance at an 8th consecutive individual victory, while Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen were recognized from Modern Family and Veep continued its impressive awards streak by garnering nominations for defending Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus and its celebrated ensemble.
The 20th Screen Actors Guild Awards will be handed out Saturday, January 18th and will be simulcast on TNT and TBS.
