Sleepy Hollow 1.09 Sneak Peeks: The Holidays Bring Ichabod Down

Thus far in their journeys as witnesses, Ichabod and Abbie have grown into the kind of family who may not share blood but who are bonded through experience and genuine love for one another. As different as they may be in past experience and future goals, they’re the only two people in the world who know what the other is going through and through that comes a closeness that has flourished in recent weeks on Sleepy Hollow. But despite their ever-tightening friendship and the realization that they might be each other’s only family for the next seven years, the impending holidays are still getting to Ichabod and Abbie, just as a missing persons case breaks.

On the next episode of Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod and Abbie delve into the case of a missing socialite, whose colonial-era home brings out a series of revelations about Ichabod’s past. We’ve already seen his ties to the Horseman and where Katrina is being held, but there’s still a whole world of Ichabod’s that has yet to be explored, especially when it comes to his connection with Abbie and how much the two shared even before they knew one another. While they may be bonded through their destiny as witnesses, bound to protect the world from the end of days, the two are likely to have some type of connection in other ways, a moment where the paths of his family crossed with the paths of hers and their mission to save the world was birthed into being. At a time when family is first and foremost on the minds of all, Ichabod and Abbie might have finally discovered just how deep their relationship runs and how long ago their paths toward witnesses were set.

But amid all the personal revelations that spring from their time in the house, a long-dormant evil springs forth and plans to become their next big Biblical obstacle, something with a score to settle that makes the Horseman look like child’s play. Are the two ready for their next great opponent?
