rubiconAfter unveiling a healthy development slate recently, AMC has added one more project to the mix in Line of Sight. From Blake Masters (Rubicon, Brotherhood), the show is about a National Transportation Safety Board investigator who survives a plane crash, causing him to become obsessed with why exactly the accident happened. Production on the pilot, the network’s first exploration of science fiction, is slated to begin later this year.

-The ninth season of Nicklodeon’s The Fairy Oddparents is slated to begin Saturday, May 4th at 9:30 a.m. In the season nine premiere, “Turner & Pooch,” Mr. Crocker realizes that Timmy’s dog, Sparky, has magical powers. Eager to use the fairy dog’s powers to fulfill his own wishes, Mr. Crocker hypnotizes Sparky in an attempt to turn him against Timmy.

-Upcoming episodes of Oprah’s Lifeclass will feature the talk show giant teaming up with Dr. Phil and Iyanla Vanzant. On April 29th, Phil and Oprah work together for the first time since the series finale of The Oprah Winfrey Show to uncover how to spot and stop the bad guys in your life. Meanwhile, on May 5th, Oprah and life coach Vanzant will speak with single mothers raising fatherless sons and help them to overcome the challenges of being an only parent. Phil returns on May 19th when he and Oprah talk about how to play big and “become the star in your own life” by defining success, spotting obstacles and harnessing the right tools to get what you want in life.

-Max Beesley (Hotel Babylon) has joined USA’s Suits in the recurring role of Stephen Huntley, Edward Darby’s charismatic right-hand man and Harvey’s British counterpart, who arrives in the New York office following the merger. Meanwhile, Sam Page (Mad Men), Sinqua Walls (Teen Wolf), and Kate Miner (Persons Unknown) will all be joining Necessary Roughness this summer. Page will play Sam Conte, a V3 agent who represents one of Dani’s clients, in two episodes, while Walls is set to portray Lana’s basketball star son Devon in an episode and Miner has been tapped for a four-episode stint as irresistible up-and-coming model Sheera, who catches TK’s eye.
