Stan Lee To Visit Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD

Considering his record of cameo appearances in the many Marvel films, it is no surprise that Stan Lee will be dropping in to visit the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D….sort of.

As Lee told The Hollywood Reporter, his upcoming role on the superhero drama is more than just a cameo – it’s a “big role.”  However, the details on exactly who he will be playing are unclear.  The episode is expected to air February 4th, though that may change.

He also serves as an executive producer to the series.

Lee is known for his numerous cameos in Marvel’s movies, playing extras with minor speaking roles, including a music-listening, oblivious librarian in The Amazing Spider-Man.  His TV appearances include a spot as himself on The Big Bang Theory, and he wil be taking on his first starring role in Stan Lee’s Mighty 7, an animated movie in which he mentors superheros while writing about their adventures in comic books.  The movie is set to premiere on the Hub Network on February 1st at 8 PM.
