Plot Summary
Just when Emily Owens, M.D., thinks she’s about to become a real adult by attending medical school at Denver Memorial with her med-school crush Will Collins, she discovers her high school nemesis chose the very same profession, state and hospital to become an adult, as well. Studying under Dr. Barnes, Emily doesn’t notice his sideways glances at her and even he might not realize just how special Emily is, but the sparks are flying.
Despite her many successes, Emily continually succumbs to her nerdy past and the flop sweats (Her high school nickname? Pits). The journey will be for her to discover her own path at her own pace without worrying about what others may be thinking about her. Can she do that, find love and become a successful surgeon along the way?
