“Judd Apatow has a unique comedic voice that manages to be delightful, insightful, and shockingly frank — often at the same time,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. “Together with Paul and Lesley, he’s bringing a whole new level of agony and ecstasy to this modern day comedy of manners.”

Created by Apatow, Paul Rust (I Love You, Beth Cooper), and Lesley Arfin (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Love follows Gus (Rust) and Mickey (Gillian Jacobs), a couple who are forced to navigate relationship issues they were hoping to avoid. Additional casting will be announced in the coming months.

Love‘s pickup comes as Netflix continues to beef up their original scripted output. While House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black get to continue their high-profile runs, each having earned a third season, Hemlock Grove has been given a final season, animated comedy Bojack Horseman recently premiered, and historical drama Marco Polo was granted a December 12th launch date. Currently, Netflix has two original comedies in Horseman and Bad Samaritans, but in addition to Love, the streaming giant has the likes of animated Madagascar tie-in King Julien and Grace and Frankie, which stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, on tap for 2015.

Based on the Brian McGreery novel of the same name and adapted for television by the likes of Eli Roth, Hemlock Grove follows supernatural goings-on in a small town in Pennsylvania, with the second season, which premiered this past summer, focusing on a massacre, a disappearance, and the harsh truths that can become buried by small town hive mind. The series had the misfortune of premiering around the time of higher profile Netflix projects, including star-studded political thriller House of Cards and acclaimed prison drama Orange Is the New Black, and never generated much in the way of buzz outside its fan base.

Hemlock Grove stars Famke Janssen (Nip/Tuck), Bill Skarsgard (Simple Simon), and Landon Liboiron (Degrassi: The Next Generation). Season two introduced the likes of Madeline Brewer (Orange Is the New Black) and JC MacKenzie (The Departed), with Tiio Horn (Defiance) and Joel de la Fuente (Law & Order: SVU) being promoted to series regulars after recurring during season one.

Joining the fourth season of The Killing are Joan Allen (The Crucible) as Margaret O’Neal, the head of the military school Holder and Linden investigate; Sterling Beaumon (Red Widow) as deeply troubled Lincoln, a boy dealing with anger issues; Levi Meaden (Almost Human) as overachiever AJ, a student at the military school; Tyler Ross (V/H/S/2) as Cameron, the black sheep of a well-connected family; and Frances Fisher (Resurrection) as Linden’s mother.

The fourth and final season of The Killing will be released Friday, August 1st on Netflix.

Foggy is a man with a passion for improving the community in a town full of crime and corruption, a characteristic that makes him a friend to its many residents.

Henson stars in the upcoming Hunger Games: Mockingjay films, and can be remembered for his roles in She’s All That and the Mighty Ducks films.  He joins a cast that includes Vincent D’Onofrio as the villainous Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk and most recent addition, Rosario Dawson.

Marvel’s Daredevil follows Murdock who fights injustice as a lawyer by day, and Daredevil by night.

The series is set to debue in 2015.

Dawson (Kids, Sin City) will be joining the streaming series as a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, into her life, while her own journey alters the course of his battle against the injustices of the city, according to Marvel.

“Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for ‘Marvel’s Daredevil,”’ said Marvel head of TV Jeph Loeb.  “Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock’s journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil.”

The 13-episode series is the first of four Marvel original series slated to stream on Netflix.

Also starring Lily Tomlin, the streaming comedy follows Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin) whose lives take a turn when their husbands announce that they are in love with each other and plan to get married.  The two nemeses find their lives permanently intertwined, and to their surprise, learn that they have each other.

Sheen recently appeared on son Charlie Sheen’s FX comedy Anger Management and is well known for his role as President Bartlet on Aaron Sorkin’s White House drama The West Wing.

Grace and Frankie is scheduled for a 2015 release and is being written by Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris (Sullivan & Son, According to Jim).

D’Onofrio (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) has been cast as Wilson Fisk, “a powerful businessman whose interests in the future of Hell’s Kitchen will bring him into conflict with blind attorney Matt Murdock and his alter ego Daredvil.”

It was previously announced that Boardwalk Empire‘s Charlie Cox will play Murdock/Daredevil in the series.

The launch of Daredevil, a 13-episode series for Netflix, will mark the third television show for the Marvel universe, including ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and midseason series, Agent Carter.

Narcos is the true-life story of the growth and spread of cocaine drug cartels across the world and efforts of law enforcement to meet them in brutal, bloody conflict.  The story centers on notorious Colombian cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar (Moura) and a Mexican DEA agent sent to Colombia on a U.S. mission to capture and kill him, played by Pascal.

Pascal’s other previous roles include USA’s Graceland and CBS’s The Mentalist.

Narcos will premiere on Netflix in 2015.

The Boardwalk Empire alum will play Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightene senses and an alter ego as the crime-fighter, Daredevil.  Since his role on Boardwalk Empire Cox has been cast in two CBS drama pilots that did not make it to series (The Ordained, and an untitled Wall Street-set drama).

The 13-episode drama has also just recently picked up a new showrunner: Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus) after Drew Goddard opted to leave the position, remaining as an executive producer, instead.

Daredevil is the lastest Marvel television project in development, with ABC’s picking up of Agent Carter, a Captain America spinoff, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. moving into a second season.

Goddard has left the job with fellow Buffy the Vampire Slayer scribe Steven S. DeKnight.

In addition to serving as showrunner and executive producer, Goddard was supposed to write and direct the series’ first episode, which is set to premiere on the streaming site next year.  Goddard will now serve as a consultant for a series, but most of his focus will be set on writing and directing Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man villain-focused spinoff, Sinister Six.

DeKnight has previously served as shorunner of Starz’s Spartacus, and has worked with Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.  He is also credited as a co-executive producer and writer on The CW’s Smallville.

Aside from the Daredevil series, the deal between Netflix and Marvel also includes adaptations of three other comic book series: Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.
