Of note is the Sunday lineup ending on the same night rather than having their finales staggered, while American Idol‘s finale gets pushed forward a day in order to conclude on the last night of May sweeps. The latest FOX finale this season is miniseries Cosmos, which will extend into June.

However, it’s not all good news, as finale dates for both Rake and Enlisted have yet to be confirmed, not a positive sign for their future on the network. While Hell’s Kitchen will air into the summer, its finale date also currently unknown, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is set to conclude its first season on March 25th and the one-hour series finale of Raising Hope will premiere Friday, April 4th.

FOX will unveil its fall 2014 schedule on Monday, May 12th.

What do you think about FOX’s plans for the end of the season? Which currently unrenewed FOX shows do you think make it to next season? How should FOX handle its schedule next season?

“Over the course of nine seasons, Bones has grown from a hit crime procedural into a beloved pillar of our lineup that resonates with fans in a way that only the best of shows can,” said Reilly. “Our viewers have embraced Emily, David and the entire cast and characters of Bones as their very own, and I think they are going to love what Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan have planned for Season 10!”

Additionally, FOX will move Bones back to Mondays beginning March 10th at 8:00, where it will slide in for Almost Human following the sci-fi cop drama’s first season finale the previous week. The network is using Bones as a way to give flailing The Following a boost after the Kevin Bacon drama plummeted in the ratings in the second episode of the reason; while a drop was to be expected in the episode proceeding the show’s NFL-fueled season premiere, the show lost over half its audience in the span of eight days. The second episode did air without a lead-in, though, and Bones should provide the stability to boost it into a third season.

The network will also premiere the next season of Kitchen Nightmares on Friday, February 28th at 8:00, meaning that moving Enlisted to 9:00 ultimately might not matter. Kitchen Nightmares is no slouch in the ratings and a reality series leading into a comedy could conceivably have a strong flow, but Bones is generally higher rated and could have given Enlisted the type of push it needs to get its ratings within shouting distance of renewal-ready. Without it, the military comedy’s chances have only become bleaker.

What have you thought of Bones this season? Where should FOX schedule it next season? Do you think Enlisted will be able to survive with Kitchen Nightmares as a lead-in?

Can the fans of Fox’s veteran drama expect another season? Well, by the sound of what the chief of the Fox Network, Kevin Reilly said at the TCA press tour, it certainly has left the fans wanting to know more. Reilly did mentioned that the network is in between negotiations for renewing Bones and even if it comes back for a tenth season, it will the final season.

During the TCA Winter press tour, Reilly shared what future holds for his stand by drama Bones and said that he was pretty sure of bringing in the tenth and the final season in the following months.

It’s a well-known fact that Bones is the most reliable and longest-running drama series for over a decade. Although it has changed its airing time-slots on a frequent basis, it has stopped the series from retaining its audience and offering stability in terms of ratings and viewership to the channel.

Last year, in 2013, the air-time of Bones was moved to Friday nights at 8 p.m. by Fox. Despite this change, Bones managed to extract an average rating of 2.4, that too from a viewership among adults from 18-49 years and gather 8.6 million viewers – season-to-date. Creator of the drama series, Hart Hanson has still had Fox investing in his shows. Only last week Fox Network ordered a series for his Rainn Wilson show Backstrom.

David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel are the stars of Bones, which is executive-produced by Stephen Nathan.

All said and done, there are more rumors which say that David Boreanaz might leave the show. In that case, how can Reilly give such a positive statement of Bones coming back for a tenth season? Well, whatever the case maybe, all the Bones fans want another season and if that happens, it will put the entire series of Bones cross the benchmark of 200 episodes. So, here’s another reason folks!

TVHackr has compiled every trailer (featuring new footage) and news item that was released during 2013 San Diego Comic-Con, which came to an end yesterday. The post doesn’t include special panel videos, the panels themselves, series highlight reels, or trailers that have already been posted.

There will be two additional new faces joining Arrow this season, as Kevin Alejandro (True Blood) and Michael Jai White (Black Dynamite) are set to play vengeful alderman Sebastian Blood (aka Brother Blood) and Ben Taylor, a claw-wielding assassin otherwise known as the Bronze Tiger, respectively. The latter will also be forming an alliance with China White.

-Amy Acker (Angel) has been promoted to a series regular on Person of Interest, where she’s portrayed Machiavellian cyber-hacker Root in seven episodes. There’ll also be an opportunity for fans to join in the series with the Person of Interest Social Photo Opportunity, which will give the show’s fans on Facebook the ability to submit photos for a chance to become a “person of interest” at some point during season three. Information will be released in the coming weeks on the Person of Interest Facebook page.

-AMC has announced that Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick will be anchoring Talking Bad, its recently announced Breaking Bad aftershow that will air every Sunday at 11:00 beginning August 11th. Like Dead, Talking Bad features Hardwick recapping that night’s Breaking Bad episode, taking questions and comments from viewers, and interviewing those associated with the show (actors, producers) and TV experts alike. The final eight episodes of Breaking Bad will premiere earlier that night at 9:00.

-A balloon of Finn and Jake from Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time will fly in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 28th. It marks the first time the Emmy nominated animated series will be featured.

–Per TVLine, Supernatural executive producer Bob Singer confirmed that a spin-off of the show is in the works. Reportedly to be centered on a new character via a backdoor pilot later in the season, the series is said to be more “citified” than its mothership. The ninth season of Supernatural is set to premiere Tuesday, October 15th at 9:00.

–Revolution has added Stephen Collins (7th Heaven) to its cast for the second season. The veteran actor will be playing Rachel’s father, according to TV Guide.

-A Simpsons/Family Guy crossover will be airing in the fall of 2014, according to FOX. “The Simpsons Guy” finds the Griffins ending up in Springfield and being fully embraced by the Simpson family. Also in Family Guy news, the show is having a contest for those who think they have the best Stewie Griffin impression around. Fans can send in their best Stewie on the I am Stewie section of FamilyGuy.com, with the winner (selected by producers) having their voice featured in the upcoming season premiere and earning a three-day/two-night trip for two to attend Family Guy Live at the Just4Laughs Festival in Toronto, on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013.

-As reported by Entertainment Weekly, guest stars for the upcoming season of Family Guy include Peter Dinklage, Liam Neeson, Dennis Farina, Ashton Kutcher, Conan O’Brien, Bryan Cranston, Jeff Daniels, Jon Cryer, and Adam Levine, while American Dad will be seeing the likes of Mariah Carey, Ellie Kemper, Zooey Deschanel, Mark Cuban, Stanley Tucci, Olivia Wilde, Alison Brie, Sinbad, Mae Whitman, T.J. Miller, Alan Thicke, and Pete Holmes.

–Once Upon a Time in Wonderland has cast Lost alum Naveen Andrews as Jafar, the evil Royal Vizier of Agrabah first seen in Aladdin, according to TV Guide.

-USA has revealed the winner of the Psych fan-voted storyline contest. The network gave the show’s fanbase the chance to decide on a storyline for an upcoming season eight episode and the winner turned out to be “A Nightmare on State Street,” an episode that will feature Gus in dream therapy to understand the cause of his recent night terrors. Also announced was a two-hour musical episode, set to air Sunday, December 15th; Gus and Shawn will have to track down a playwright deemed criminally insane and eventually get led back to someone from Shawn’s past.

The two-part season premiere of the newly revamped X Factor will kick things off on September 11th and 12th, with the rest of the lineup premiering during the week of September 16th, the week before the designated primetime premiere week that CBS will be targeting. Exceptions to this pattern are Masterchef Junior, which bows more than two weeks following the season finale of its mothership, and Animation Domination, all of which return on September 29th. Elsewhere, FOX’s lineup will shuffle come November 4th, when Almost Human makes its series premiere and boots Bones to Friday, where it will join Raising Hope and Enlisted come November 8th. Currently waiting in the wings are Surviving Jack, Us & Them, and Gang Related, among other future FOX midseason offerings.

You can check out FOX’s 2013 schedule here, as well as trailers for its new shows here and the premiere dates for NBC, CBS, and The CW here, here, and here.

There were two very excellent dynamics in play here, and the episode in whole was a complete juxtaposition to last week’s miserable “The Method in the Madness.” It even went so far as to contradict some of Brennan’s changes on the job, which I’ll get to in a minute.

Every since Zack was revealed as a serial killer in training two years ago (we don’t want to revisit that fiasco), we’ve been playing with Squinterns, a rotating bunch of interns with vastly different personalities. While at first the idea seemed illogical, it’s worked out in favor of the series, because things at The Jeffersonian don’t get stale. Just when you’ve had enough of Finn and his southern charm, for example, they bring in Fisher, and you wish to God Finn were back.

Due to a backlog of unsolved cases, Brennan brings in her five best interns to help churn out identities to the remains. We were treated to Wendell Bray, Clark Edison, Finn Abernathy, Colin Fisher and Arastoo Vaziri all working together in the same room, with Hodgins overseeing them. Immediately, they were certain of a competition for best intern, a new position opening and bodies were being identified left and right. The more obscure, the better. Only Vaziri hadn’t yet identified a set of remains. Here’s where the strange part with Brennan comes in.

Last week she was with everyone else on how the body they were identifying was a human body and deserved respect, blah blah blah. This week, it was all about churning out identities. She questioned Vaziri’s use of resources and he reminded her of something she taught him; if he couldn’t use the resources at The Jeffersonian to give the victim back his identity when nobody else would, then nobody would ever know who he was. Could he really leave him an unknown again? Would that be fair?

So we had a turning point in room. The Squinterns realized they should be working together as a team and remembered the bodies were people, with families. Angels began to sing. No, not really. But, it was that kind of moment. As they poured all they could into this puzzling homeless man, they discovered he was so much more. A veteran of the first Gulf War. Homeless from PTSD. Married with a son. Killed not by murder, but from rescuing people in the Pentagon on 9/11 after he was injured outside by flying debris and ran inside to help.

Like some sort of superhuman, he crushed his knees and spine by lifting items weighing upwards of 400 pounds or more to free the injured. When it was all over, he drifted off into the night where he died, homeless, of a bleeding punctured lung. Thanks to The Jeffersonian, he was buried a hero.

Needless to say, the story hit all of them in some way. What worked was our ragtag group of interns comes from such a diverse background. There were near brawls about religion and misunderstandings about being raised in the south and race and all of it fit in well with the circumstances of the investigation. We also learned where each and every one of them was on 9/11. Cam was a coroner in New York City and personally identified over 900 remains, and notified their families. Brennan spent two weeks tirelessly running on adrenaline searching for survivors at the World Trade Center, telling Booth she never once cried. She did to Booth.

It’s amazing what the memories of that day can still do to people, and the way it was incorporated into Bones was done in such a way that it didn’t alienate anyone or pass judgement, but let everyone realize it was okay to feel. Just feel. Hodgins, who loves a great conspiracy theory, said the one conspiracy theory he finally took away from that day was that a bunch of people did things for extremist reasons, and absolutely nobody deserved to die on that day.

If for every applesauce episode we get one where we solve old cases and bring closure to loved ones, Bones can stay on the air as long as Fox wants it to run.
