Wednesday, May 28th – “Baby Steps”
Ben can’t wait to see Emma take her first steps and tries everything to get her to toddle before he has to go to work. But when even the bribery of food doesn’t motivate his daughter to move, Ben reluctantly gives up and leaves. However, as luck would have it, Emma makes a beeline for Uncle Danny as soon as her father is out the door. As Bonnie, Tucker, Danny, and Riley scheme to make sure Ben doesn’t miss this major milestone, everyone reminisces about how far they’ve come as parents since the tot entered their lives.

Wednesday, June 4th – “Foos It or Lose It”
Bonnie decides to baby-proof the apartment and sells the foosball table to struggling fraternity Sigma Beta Kappa, unaware that Ben had been hiding money in the table for Emma’s college fund. Ben and Tucker pose as pledges in order to get the money back, but their fake identities cause more trouble than they’re worth. Meanwhile, Riley is not happy that Danny is dating Georgie (Mallory Jansen), especially because she blames the Brit for ending her relationship with Philip. But when Georgie secures Riley an interview for the in-house counsel job at Vogue, Riley begins to look at her rival in a new light – at least until she overhears Georgie admitting the interview was bogus. Riley can’t wait to tell Danny the truth about his deceptive girlfriend, but can she really break her best friend’s heart?

Wednesday, June 11th – “All Aboard the Love Train”
Riley plans to attend her family reunion in Orlando, but since she hates to fly, she decides to take the train instead. Ben realizes this trip is the perfect opportunity to rekindle their romance and volunteers to tag along. However, when Riley thinks he’s only after one thing, Ben manages to convince her that his feelings are genuine. Can she bring herself to trust him with her heart once again? Meanwhile, Tucker has the chance to be Mary Hart’s co-host and asks Bonnie for help with his audition tape. But when Mary decides to give Bonnie the job instead, Tucker is forced to play dirty in order to eliminate the competition.

Wednesday, June 18th – “You Can’t Go Home Again” (Season Finale)
Bonnie is livid when her former New Jersey neighborhood resurrects the Block Party Olympics that she created and declares war. Seeking vengeance like only Bonnie can, she drafts everyone to crash the gathering, win all the events and put an end to the party once and for all. While visiting the Wheelers’ old tree house, Riley and Ben are surprised when they find Danny’s childhood expression of love. Meanwhile, Danny learns Georgie (Mallory Jansen) is moving to Paris and realizes this could be the perfect opportunity to put some distance between himself and Riley. But given her recent discovery, what will Riley do when she learns Danny might be leaving? Is it too late for Riley and Danny to start a romantic relationship, or does her heart still belong to Ben?

Meanwhile, Riley and Danny return to their high school to chaperone prom and run into Vice Principal Peters (Kim Coles), who’s still inappropriately enamored with Danny.

Wednesday, April 30th – “From Here to Paternity”
Now that Riley knows the truth about Margot, she decides to find her biological father and uses her parents’ high school yearbook as a guide. With a little help from Ben, Riley narrows down the possible candidates to David (David DeLuise), the easygoing pastry chef, and Mark (Adam Harrington), the high-powered attorney. But despite some initial deception and old teenage rivalries resurfacing, Riley finally learns her father’s identity. Meanwhile, Tucker is not happy about his parents’ divorce and realizes the source of their problems is that Marshall (Philip Morris) is too uptight. But when Danny asks his mom to help Mr. Dobbs loosen up, Bonnie takes the challenge to a whole new level.

But when Brad confesses that he still has feelings for Bonnie, Ben’s well-intentioned but misguided advice leads Brad to make a rash decision. Riley wants to have the relationship with Margot (Amanda Detmer) she never had with her adoptive mom, but first Riley must learn to appreciate Margot for who she is, flaws and all. Meanwhile, Danny must stop Riley from taking the next step with Philip.

A horrified Ben realizes that he dated Tucker’s new girlfriend, Stephanie (Kelsey Chow), and is convinced she’s only with Tucker to get back at Ben for their bad break-up. Riley is delighted when her boss, Ms. Jensen (Kym Whitley), finally asks her to participate in the firm’s spa day, but her joy is short-lived when Bonnie is also included in the outing. Riley knows Bonnie will embarrass her and ruin her chances at making partner, so she tries to disinvite Bonnie and enlists Stephanie to be her plus-one instead. But when the boys crash their spa day in a misguided attempt to save Tucker’s relationship, it’s a case of mistaken identity when the very intimidating masseuse (Dot Marie Jones) puts them to work.

Wednesday, April 2nd – “The Wingmom”
Bonnie sets Ben up with Bailey (Bailey Buntain), a fast-talking, animated spitfire with plenty of attitude. Everything seems to be going well until Ben realizes his new girlfriend is a mini version of his mother and he has to break up with her. However, Bailey refuses to be dismissed so easily, and Ben resorts to desperate measures to get her out of his life once and for all. Meanwhile, Danny pulls his dad’s beloved car out of storage, but it’s a bumpy start for “Adele the Chevelle” once Tucker and Riley get a hold of the keys.

Meanwhile, Bonnie asks for Tucker’s help in coming up with a catchy new slogan for her realty business, but things quickly go awry when she starts getting offers from guys interested in buying more than a home.

Wednesday, March 5th – “The Bet”
Riley bets Ben that he can’t get a second date with Heather. He gladly accepts the challenge, but when Heather doesn’t jump at the chance to go out with him again, Ben resorts to desperate measures. Bonnie decides to break up with Brad, but when her realtor boyfriend declares his love, she can’t bring herself to go through with it and asks Danny to end the relationship instead. Further complicating things as only Bonnie can, her love life takes another twist when she unknowingly falls for Brad’s father (Bruce Thomas). Meanwhile, Tucker uses Emma to pick up women.

Wednesday, March 12th – “A Knight to Remember”
Tucker still hasn’t told his dad that he’s not a lawyer, which proves to be a problem when Marshall Dobbs (Philip Morris) unexpectedly arrives for a visit. Tucker and Ben devise a plan to keep the charade going, but it eventually backfires when Marshall learns the truth. Riley falls for a handsome Brit (Christopher O’Shea) she meets at the bar and tells Bonnie that she finally found “the one”; however, Bonnie mistakenly believes that Riley is talking about Danny and immediately encourages him to go after his true love. Meanwhile, the group’s trip to the renaissance faire hits a snag when a sword fight breaks out in the subway.

Wednesday, January 22nd – “The Lying Game”
Angela has been crashing in the boys” apartment, trying to spend more time with Emma and get closer to Ben. Her presence puts strain on Ben and Riley”s relationship, but Ben doesn”t have the heart – or the guts – to ask her to leave. Tucker plots to show Riley that Angela is trying to steal her man and Danny decides that the only way he can heal his broken heart is to get his own apartment. Meanwhile, Bonnie begins dating a younger man.

Wednesday, January 29th – “Lights! Camera! No Action!”
Ben catches Riley in a compromising position with her ex-boyfriend Fitch (Matt Dallas), which leads to a massive blow-out between the two. Danny worries that the combination of his low stats and his Rangers jersey not selling in stores means his future with the team is in jeopardy. Tucker gets a job assisting Mary Hart on her new talk show, “The Mary Hart Show,” and sets his sights on becoming a producer. Bonnie convinces Tucker to have Danny as a guest on the show to increase his popularity, but when Mary digs a little too deep into Danny”s personal life, he has an emotional meltdown.

Meanwhile, Riley shows up at the apartment with a handful of balloons that came from her mother, who tends to give her gifts that she doesn’t want on her birthday. It’s not like Riley cares anymore, though, since she’s not celebrating her birthday the following day due to something that happened to her when she was younger. But what happened? That evening, Amy, Ben, and Danny, the latter in a cast to hide the tattoo on his wrist, watch a tape of Riley’s 16th birthday party, where Bonnie is wearing zebra print and has ferociously teased hair, Danny has a makeshift mustache and a mullet to go along with his letterman’s jacket, and Ben’s braces still hadn’t come off. He also was a bit of a prankster and after trying to put a mean sign on Riley’s back when he gave her a birthday hug, his other plan came to fruition – he rigged the cake to explode when someone cut into it, getting it all over Riley and causing their friends to laugh at her. Ben scampers out of the room, a furious Danny hot on his heels, and Riley begins to cry and asks for the camera to be turned off.

Luckily, Ben does feel bad for what he did, even though he didn’t remember it even happening. Once he leaves, Amy asks Danny whether Riley still loves Ben, which he says that she may, and mentions how obvious it is that Ben has feelings for her. When he indicates that he knew the two had feelings for one another, she questions his motivation in not informing one (or both) sides of the mutual attraction, implying that he might still be in love with Riley himself. To help Riley get the birthday she deserves and to make sure that Amy knows how committed he is to their relationship, he informs a giddy Ben that Riley has had a thing for them ever since they were kids and that the only reason he never said anything was due to a threat against his life and a double pinkie swear. Ben then decides to throw Riley the best birthday party ever to make up for ruining her attitude toward the day when they were younger, which should also help him win her over now.

Tucker has now found Angela through Ben’s phone and called her to meet at the bar under the guise of being a movie producer interested in hiring her for a role. Being that the only glimpse he got of her was in a crowded room, and that he’s the only one of the group who had even seen that much of her, he decides to put on a fake mustache and glasses for the encounter, telling a turned on Bonnie that she would be playing his assistant. Angela arrives and despite the suspicious name (Tyrell Spielberg), she begins signing the papers she’s told is a non-disclosure agreement. Then, Tucker’s obviously fake mustache falls off and lands on the papers, which she notices mention the termination of parental rights. After hearing what happened, she says that if Ben isn’t responsible enough to file that type of paperwork himself, maybe he shouldn’t have sole custody of Emma.

Upset at being dragged into this mess, Tucker tries to distance himself from Bonnie, claiming to be done with the “we” that she used to get him involved. However, while she’s arguing that the two are equally to blame for what happened, Angela comes back and the two begin apologizing for luring her there under false pretenses and failing to file the paperwork in the allotted amount of time. Angela admits that she knows they had good intentions and that all she wanted for her daughter was a happy home and a family who cares about her, which she apparently has in Bonnie, Tucker, Ben, and Danny. She goes on to say that there’s one condition for her signing the papers and disappearing: a look at a picture of Emma. Bonnie finds one on her phone of Ben and Emma together and Angela marvels at how big (and beautiful) Emma’s gotten.

Ben takes a blindfolded Riley to the Bleeker Street Subway Station and leads her, along with armfuls of stuff, to the subway, where she sits down. He accidentally drops everything in his hands while trying to get her situated and when a man beside them offers to help, he grabs their stuff and runs back into the station. Ben hurries to catch him and does, once the man runs into someone; however, by the time he gets back to the subway, it already left with Riley still being blindfolded and not knowing that Ben wasn’t there. He arrives at the surprise party that he planned to throw Riley and tells their friends that she’s missing, lacking any sort of means to communicate with them. Danny takes him out in the hallway and yells at him for hurting Riley, saying that he knew this would happen and his brother doesn’t deserve her. Amy overhears and tells Danny that she can’t do this anymore and leaves to get her purse.

Riley shows up and berates Ben for leaving her alone, where she ended up riding to The Bronx and had to beg for money from people who were begging for money. However, Ben lets her know that this party was for her and that he had an entire “perfect” day planned for her – a carriage through Central Park, a relaxing rowboat ride, a surprise party. But it’s not done, as he kisses her and she kisses back. Just then, though, Angela comes into the party and mentions that once she saw the picture of Emma, she knew she couldn’t walk away and that she wants her daughter back.

Additional thoughts and observations:
-“Did you mug a clown?”
-Tucker’s quick impression of Ben was really good, no?
-This felt like the episode of Friends when Rachel finds out that Ross was going to fill in for her missing prom date before the guy ended up showing up, with the flashbacks and the episode ending kiss. Is Ben Riley’s lobster? Stay tuned.
-So, if Angela hadn’t seen any of the roommates before and Tucker only barely got a glimpse of her, likely while intoxicated, why the need for a mustache, glasses, and (awesomely bad) fake name?
-Danny’s mullet, everybody. Also, I totally buy that Ben was That Guy (we all know him) in high school.
-How long do you think Angela will be involved in the third season? I don’t know if this show could sustain a season-long arc or anything, so I’m thinking they’ll either space it out and have a few episodes dedicated to the custody case, with Ben winning out in the third season finale, or have everything happen in the first half (or so) of the season and then be done with it. It’s pretty obvious that she’ll come in between Riley and Ben, though, right? Expect talk of her and Ben forming the “perfect family” for Emma’s sake and Ben waffling on his feelings for Riley quite a bit.
-It’d be nice if the show spent some time next season filling in who Angela is, why she left Emma, and why she still doesn’t want to be involved in her life, even on a limited basis.

Ben devises a plan to sneak Emma into the group but when Kayla busts him, he and Tucker start a rival group of their own. Meanwhile, Danny and Amy have some relationship trouble and Danny comes to Riley for help. When Riley tries to help Danny get ready for his salsa dancing date with Amy, Amy catches them in a compromising position. Danny finds a permanent way to show Amy he is committed but ends up making a huge mistake.

Wednesday, September 3rd – “Surprise!”
Ben learns why Riley doesn’t like celebrating her birthday and it’s all his fault. He knows he needs to make it up to her and plans a perfect birthday surprise, but in typical Ben Wheeler fashion, disaster ensues. Bonnie realizes she may have made a mistake in filing Emma’s parental rights paperwork and Ben doesn’t officially have sole custody. Bonnie enlists Tucker’s help in tracking down Emma’s mother, Angela (played by Mimi Gianopulos), to re-sign the papers, but bringing this baby mama back into their lives may spell trouble. Meanwhile, Amy (played by Lacey Chabert) calls Danny on his lingering feelings for Riley.

Meanwhile, Bonnie convinces Riley to get a home spray tan before her interview to get her job back and ends up botching the tan. In order to prove to her old boss (guest star Kym Whitley) that she’s not “too nice” to work for the firm, Riley sues Bonnie.

Wednesday, August 14th – “The Christening”
Ben convinces Bonnie and Ray to invite conservative Aunt Betty (guest star Mary Pat Gleason) to Emma’s baptism in the hopes she’ll write a nice, fat check for Emma. The Wheelers nearly pull off their ruse as a perfectly normal family, until Ray’s boyfriend Steve (guest star Robert Gant) shows up demanding answers. Meanwhile, Ben enlists Riley to choose Emma’s godfather, and she can’t decide if Danny and Tucker are really up to the task.

Wednesday, August 21st – “All Riled Up”
Tucker and Danny bail on movie night and Riley and Ben are left alone for the night. Based on her body language, Ben ends up thinking Riley is into him. Riley, thinking it’s never going to happen with Ben, asks him to help her find the perfect man. Ben devises a plan to set Riley up on a disastrous date where he’ll pick up the pieces, but it threatens to backfire. Meanwhile, Bonnie and Tucker enter a contest to become the new NY Rangers mascot and perfect a routine as the “Rangeroos,” in full kangaroo costumes.
