It’s been a long wait for all Grey’s Anatomy mid-season premiere is just two weeks away. Much has been talked about the 13^th episode ‘Take it Back’ after we saw the sneak peek. So here we share some more with you and behold, there are spoilers ahead!

Here’s what ABC revealed: the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial are facing the consequences of April Kepner’s wedding, Callie and Arizona are about to take a big decision about their relationship and Alex reacts big time on his father’s news. Let’s talk about Kepner’s wedding first. What would you do if in the middle of your wedding your ex confesses that they still love you, of course April has a huge decision to take in a matter of seconds, where the entire hall is stunned by Jackson’s declaration.

Now for Karev’s reaction; we already know that Shane performed the ill-advised surgery on Jimmy due to the absence of doctors who are attending Kepner’s wedding. Now what Shane did saved Jimmy for a while but we would lose him eventually which would lead to a huge emotional crisis for Karev. We could also say that Shane’s guilt over Heather’s death was a huge factor of this surgery.

And lastly, we saw some sparks flying between Callie and Arizona lately but we also saw a discomforted Arizona who is being treated by Callie in a different way. April is Arizona’s confidante, but there is yet another woman in question. We really don’t know about this one.

Although, Grey’s Anatomy stands a good chance of being renewed by the network as alongside its 10th Season, contemporaries Scandal and Agents of the Shield, Grey has been able to retain a rating of 4.7 in the key demographics and is one of the top rated show on ABC. If we look at the total number of views, Grey’s Anatomy stands third on ABC, following Castle and Scandal. Scandal, also a Shonda Rhimes show is outnumbering Grey by around 2,00,000 viewers.

The series has booked the duo, Patrick & Ellen, who have been quite the face of the series, since it head-started, the audience loves this pair! And while Sandra Oh, who plays one of the most interesting characters, exits the show after the tenth season, this assurance is a sigh of relief for the fans. Several viewers of the show simply watch Grey because of the most-loved on-screen couple and now when they have signed the deal for two years, it would be interesting to watch their relationship grow after the baby. The couple is loved by the viewers not just in the United States but all across the world. And, moreover, this deal will also give the showrunner Shonda Rhimes to further think of the storyline and then plan further renewals of Seasons 11 and 12.

Get up, Stand up was the 12^th episode of Grey’s Anatomy Season 10, which was aired on December 12, 2013. The April’s wedding episode was the mid-season finale and the last one to be aired till the next year. But, in case you missed out the mid-season finale, here’s what all you need to know.

April Kepner is getting married and everyone at the Grey Sloan Memorial is coping up their lives along with her wedding plans. On the other hand, our good old Kepner is flipping our big time as the D-Day has finally arrived and on the other, Derek has been working with an organization, who, now wants to use his name in order to support their work, to which Derek refuses as they aren’t ready to get to the point. Finally, Jo’s tireless efforts of bring Alex close to his Dad have started working, only till he starts talking ill about Karev’s mother. Fas who have been worried about Bailey would like to know that Miranda feels that somewhere its Ben’s fault that her OCD got worse. She tells him that her OCD symptoms augmented only after he came home, quitting surgery.

Being April’s bridesmaids, its high time Meredith and Christina sort out their differences. They do have quite a heated argument while having their bridesmaids dress fittings but when they meet each other at Kepner’s wedding, both accept that they are different people, with different point of views and they can work on getting along with each other. Meredith admits that the way Christina balances her life and has been successful consistently, she’s been jealous of that and to that, Yang also confesses that Meredith is no less a surgeon and is a great mother too. However, we don’t get to see much of the duo as April cuts the moment short by expressing how important is the day for her and people should be making her special.

Back in the hospital, it proves to be one of Shane’s very bad days as Webber takes over his surgery as someone seemed to be too full of themselves. Well, the episode adds a lot to make it a mid-finale hit, which includes Shepherd getting a call from the United States’ President and Jackson standing up and confessing his love to Kepner in front of everyone, including Stephanie. Wow, we really saw that coming, dodn’t we? Great timing Jackson!

Man on the Moon is the 11^th episode of the tenth season of Grey’s Anatomy. So, after all Dr. Bailey has accepted that she has an OCD condition, with the help of Dr. Webber and agrees on working it out with her psychiatrist and not only this, Bailey also agrees on taking medication for her disease. April’s wedding is coming closer so all of her sisters surprise her at the hospital and tell her that they will be throwing her a bridal shower at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Things get weird and actually good-weird when April takes a stand and confronts her sisters by telling them that she is not their same old, ugly and looser sister anymore and that she doesn’t need this. She goes ahead and dethrones them from being her bridesmaids and declares her new bridesmaids to be Meredith, Christina and Arizona and calls them ‘her people’.

It’s nice to see Jackson and Matthew working out their differences over a patient’s case, for April’s sake as they know that them getting along will make her happy. Isn’t that just the sweetest thing? Moving on with her 3D printer research, Meredith and Edwards successfully complete their first conduit and insert it into a sheep to check. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work out and the poor animal dies. On the other hand Christina and Ross have gotten really close in a short span of time and surprisingly, when they try out their first conduit on their patient, it miraculously works. Hard to digest! This is followed by a discussion between Meredith, Christina and Ross and gradually the conversation leads to an argumentative mode where Meredith questions Yang that why Ross has become so arrogant and nasty. Come on Christina; tell her for God’s sake, she was your best friend. I guess ego can destroy any relationship.

It was not just Miranda Bailey who surrendered to her deteriorating health, Karev also agreed to team up with Jo to help his father through his extractions. During the process, James, Karev’s father admits that all this while, he had known that Alex was his son and he was trying to get clean with him, since that bar incident. Callie and Derek are working on their first research patient and successfully accomplish their aim by realizing the key to the hand movement they were trying to reach to.

Somebody That I used to know is the 10^th episode of Grey’s Anatomy Season 10, which is also the name of a very popular song by Gotye, a Belgian Singer and Songwriter, featuring Kimbra. After Callie’s hearing, things are indeed getting normal at the Grey Sloan Memorial as doctors are back from the court and back to their normal rounds, surgeries and attending patients. Ben finally breaks his silence about Bailey’s strange behaviors off lately and discusses with Shepherd that Miranda is highly likely to be suffering from a kind of an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Now in this kind of condition, both Owen and Shepherd are highly dubious whether or not they can trust Bailey with surgeries as her mental and physical capacity is not quite normal to conduct any kind of surgical procedure.

Further, Chief Hunt hands over Miranda’s surgeries to Meredith, just for the time Bailey gets better. Calzona fans must be happy now that the couple is back together and Arizona declares that she was seeing someone, while they were on a break. However, Callie doesn’t ask who it was; it somehow gets revealed during a surgery, where everyone, i.e. Callie, Arizona and Leah was working. Callie finds out that that someone was no one else but Leah. On the other hand, Jackson is taken aback on learning that April is not inviting him to her wedding because her fiancé, Matthew is not comfortable with him being there, but April tells him that he’d rather come as Stephanie’s date. Now that’s a way one wants to get invited to a wedding.

Along with taking over Miranda’s surgeries, Dr. Meredith is also doing her best to get Webber out of the hospital walls. As all this wasn’t enough on her plate, the Shepherds have planned the Thanksgiving dinner at their place and to everybody’s relief, Owen’s girlfriend Emma will cook. Richard is also desperate to get back on his feet and in spite of Jo’s warnings; he works too hard on the treadmill and falls down resulting into broken ribs. All the hard work in vain Dr. Webber and now it seems now he will be stuck in the hospital forever with the residents, who have planned a Thanksgiving dinner ordering food from KFC.

Here’s the catch to this much happening episode, which turned the entire season around. We remember how Shane had convinced Christina to use Meredith’s 3-D printer to produce a conduit for their baby patient. Well, that conduit gets contaminated and now they want the printer again. Once again, Meredith (who is not herself after her argument with Yang) doesn’t allow them to use it again as her research is getting hampered. And so, when she denies further, Shane defends Yang big time and Christina kisses him. We knew something was up there, didn’t we?

Creator of the most popular shows, Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and Private Practice, Shonda Rhimes will now be writing a book, based on her own life. Rhimes just signed the deal with publisher Simon & Schuster for her memoir which will be published and released in 2015.

The veteran show-runner will be exploring her life prior to venturing into Hollywood, when she decided to build a family, faced hardships being a single mother, along with trying hard in her professional life. The book is said to be a combination of memoir, inspiration and prescription by Rhimes. On the book announcement, Shonda kidded that S & S are crazy to sign the deal with her as she is no way, in the position to impart wisdom. But then on a thoughtful note she shared that she has had her share of mistakes, playing different roles of a single, working, dating and sleepless mother and add to that, working on a couple of TV shows, that’s got to be tough!

The Vice President and Chief Editor of S & S, Marysue Rucci further said that none knows storytelling better than Rhimes and with her memoir her fans would relish reading her life’s story in her own words. He also said that Shonda’s fans would love to read how exceptionally well she handled her life’s situations and excelled in her career bringing out successful shows which have a huge fan following around the world.

In her successful career, Shonda has been honored with the Television Producer of the Year award by the Producers Guild of America, along with a Lucy Award for Television Excellence and a GLAAD Golden Gate Award. Quite recently, President Barack Obama appointed Shonda Rhimes as a Trustee for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

We wonder how is Shonda going to take out time for her book, when she is busy running ABC’s most viewed shows – Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 is being aired at present and the show recently celebrated its 200 episodes.

Let’s look at the surgery scene two months ago, when Travis asked Callie to build him a new hip, which would enable him to quality the Olympics. Where Callie was honest enough to tell him that she didn’t carry that kind of experience with her, she operated on him anyway. The twist comes when during the surgery, Reid’s heartbeat touched low levels, Callie hastily closed him up and left a sponge inside him, which led him to come back after a few weeks with a horrible infection! It turned out that Travis had a small heart murmur and his feet had started to turn grey. Christina contradicted Callie that she should operate him on first, but Callie didn’t listen to her and went on for his surgery. When she thought everything was going fine, the athlete’s feet started to turn black and Callie had no other option but to amputate both of Travis’ legs. What a pity!

Callie was a total mess in the courthouse, she was nervous and fragile but had her friends to support her, especially the scene with Arizona handing over a picture drawn by Sofia, was totally adorable. Christina and Jo were also called to the stand and testified not so much in favour of Torres. It was indeed a treat to see Travis’ testimony on the stand, it was so overwhelming that Callie felt incredibly guilty of what she did, he also claimed that Callie once confessed that she was guilty. When it was Callie’s turn to testify, she honestly said that she can very easily leave the sponge in again and it won’t be the cause of the infection, che also confessed that she was going through a tough time in her life, at the time of the surgery.

As it turned out, we were surprised to see that the verdict came in favor of Callie but a sigh of relief to Callie’s fans. Also, a good episode for Calzona fans as Callie’s father comforted her in this tough time and shared some words of wisdom. He confessed that before Callie was born he had once cheated on her mother and if she had not given her another chance, Callie wouldn’t be born. He advised her that one mistake and forgiveness strenghthens a marrieage. We are happy to see that Callie took his advice and shows up at Arizona’s place, tells her to come back home. Bad news for Leah, as Arizona tells her to get dressed and get out!

On the other hand, Webber has found his old self back when his neighbor falls down during one of his laps and gets out of his damn bed and starts CPR on her. Richard tells April that back then he almost lost himself, which makes April to think that she almost let her fiancée break his promise and tells him that its better they wait to have sex after they get married. Everybody is excited for Meredith’s presentation on her breakthrough with the 3-D printer and she is trying to print a liver. Derek catches a guy during her presentation, who has an unstoppable twitch in his eye. He and Jackson work on the guy and during the surgery Shepherd tells him that it’s high time he gives the reigns to the 2^nd year residents and not do every surgery by himself.

Owen’s girlfriend Emma is here at the Grey Sloan Memorial for an interview and Callie is excited to be on the other side of the table, chiefly because she will get to know her friend’s girlfriend better. At the end of the conversation and her talk with Arizona, Emma realizes it’s better not to work with Owen, because if something happens between them, everybody in the hospital would be on his side. Meredith is not herself after her argument of being a better doctor with Yang and that clearly reflects when she’s operating on a 14-year old boy, who is Karev’s patient and has multiple tumors in his body. Karev is not happy on her decision making in the OR and calls her a lousy doctor.

After a lot of persuation, Christina agrees with Ross that they can save their patient, a little baby’s life by using the 3-D printer to print a conduit for the baby’s heart. She requests Grey but Meredith is in no mood to be nice to her. Christina goes on to destroy Grey’s 3-D printed liver, without her permission , which we are sure, will leave a big hole in their friendship. But, I think Yang was being a better doctor there and did what she had to do to save a little baby’s life. Meredith, you really need to put the heat down!

The 200^th episode of Grey’s Anatomy was aired on Oct. 10^th. “It’s time to put on makeup, it’s time to dress right”, as always, the show starts with Meredith Grey’s words on how bad the hospital needs funds to keep its doors open. There is a fund-raising gala arranged by Avery, to be attended by biggest investors of the town and nobody from the hospital wants to attend. We have the handsome and beautiful doctors, all dressed up and making conversation to win big money for the Grey Sloan Memorial.

It’s a weird party where they have unicycles, fire breathers, face paint, a juggler Shepherd, spiky haired waiters, to name a few, what the hell happened to Jackson’s classy, sophisticated stuff? April loves the magic show and wants to stay but Avery needs ice for the champagne! And all of this arranged, all it took for the fund-raisers to donate money was to see a live surgery! Couldn’t we do it without the fancy gala?

On the other hand the Shepherds are channelizing all their medical energy in competing against each other at home, and now when they get to perform surgeries, it’s like a breath of fresh air! And surprisingly, we saw April and Arizona getting drunk and stupid in the supply room, which was fun. All we have seen of these two in the past is drama and relationship crisis. Back at the circus, Callie is playing her cards with the ‘dead wife’ story, getting more donors.

But, my favorite scene from the episode involved Bailey, who made a witty move to get Richard back to his senses. I hated him when he pushed Bailey away before, when she tries to make her point and he asks her to get out. But that’s what I love about her, her unrelenting spirit to never give up. Richard gets a roommate, Bailey’s cancer patient, who is old and a racist, but doesn’t want to die so soon and finally Richard sees a point that how he doesn’t want to die in the hospital, either, thank God!

Yang asks Owen to start flirting with women, who eventually finds a woman, Emma Marling, completely flattered by Owen. Christina also manages to get a big fat cheque from the guy she flirted all night long, but denies to sleep with him, whereas, Owen scores a date with the pretty Doc. Finally a new love angle in Owen’s life.

Christina comes face to face with her former self in Shane, who helps her, performing a successful heart surgery and tells him that he is a shark and sharks see what they want and never apologize. And guess, who was the patient they operated on, he is Alex’s long-lost drug-addict, high-on-weed father. He hasn’t seen him for a long time so Jo helps him take a paternity test and it’s positive. How she regrets telling him that!

Shane kisses Stephanie after their accomplished night in the hospital and her so-called boyfriend, Jackson walks in. She goes after him and tells him the truth but we don’t see that he cares too much, will this last? So, what did you think about the 200^th of Grey’s Anatomy?

Finally, the wait is over and numerous assumptions put to rest. Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 premiere aired last night with a power-packed 2 hour episode, combining ‘Seal Our Fate’ and ‘I Want You With Me’. After the way things ended in the last season, was the opening really worth the wait? Read our review below and share your views too!

We know that things were pretty bad during the storm in Seattle and Grey Sloan Memorial worse affected. Well, for starters, we see an action-packed opening minus the drama where the hospital is coping up with the aftermath of the deadly storm. But, first things first, Bailey realizes the absence of Richard and asks Shane to go find him but, instead, a jealous Shane sends Heather to look for him. What happens next is tragic; poor Heather finds Dr. Webber and gets electrocuted herself, Shane Ross, thank you very much.

Moving forward the premiere delves into the most gripping two hours of Grey, we’ve seen in the past seasons. As Shane tries to save Heather, along with Dr. Shepherd, we can see that guilt his eating him up, but to our dismay, Heather dies. She was my favorite intern, but this was expected, at least Richard survives, or will he? Christina, Owen, Meredith (she is surprised to find out that she is Richard’s medical advocate!) and Bailey work hard to save Dr. Webber, but is he really fine? We’ll see that in the forthcoming episodes. However, we found the scene with Mer finding out that she is the one taking Richard’s medical decisions, very moving; indeed a significant move for her relationship with Dr. Webber. On the other hand, we totally adored the way Bailey and Yang fought to do what they feel is best to save Richard, because they love him so much. Overall, a great scene and very well enacted by Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh!

So what happened with the couples in the premiere? Christina and Owen are missing each other and it feels good to see Yang acting like a wife, for a change. Catching us off guard, both of them confess that it’s not easy for them to stay apart, which leads to some great moments of passion. Is it the right way to say goodbye or is it goodbye yet? And then, we see that April’s feelings for Jackson are rushing back and she literally agrees to ditch her fiancé, to which he does not approve of. We are sure this won’t work out and hate to see her go back to marrying Matthew. Alex and Jo get together after they kiss and we are excited to see what’s in store for them in the coming episodes.

With so much going on with the old characters, it was kind of hard for us to focus on the plot with the firefighters. It was the most realistic and solid medical setup, but the guest characters were a little too much to take with so many things happening at the same time.

Some other scenes which cannot go without a mention are when a tearful-eyed Bailey asks Yang to thread Richard’s aorta and then they hug, Meredith and baby Bailey trying to make Alex feel better, that slight reminder of O’ Malley (God, I miss him!) and the interns bonding with each other.

Well, I give the premiere episode a 5/5; it was indeed a great start to an even greater season.
