The CEO of FX Networks, John Landgraf verified in a statement that the next season of Justified would be the final season of the series. Justified will be ending after the sixth season and the decision was mutually taken by Graham Yost and the star of the show, Timothy Olyphant. Landgraf announced the decision about Justified in the winter press tour of the TCA.

John Landgraf shared with the reporters at the TCA that Justified is one of his favorite shows and he would’ve wanted for it to stay, although he has agreed to this decision taken by the showruner Graham Yost and the star of the show Timothy Olyphant.

The fifth season of Justified just kicked off earlier this month and now the next season will the final season of the show, which will be premiered sometime in 2015. Earlier the rumors quoted that the current season 5 is the show’s last season on FX but then after Landgraf’s statement at the TCA, it was confirmed otherwise. All rumors stating the fate of Justified were put to rest as the FX has made its official statement at the TCA. Although, we agree with CEO Landgraf on the fact that the show could have continued.

Along with Justified, several other popular shows are also getting over in the near future. FX would also be bidding adieu to its super hit dram Sons of Anarchy, which will be airing the final and seventh season during the fall this year. Joining the club are three other shows by HBO – True Blood, Boardwalk Empire and Newsroom, which are also saying goodbye by airing their finale seasons this year.

HBO’s spokesperson confirmed the news during the network’s Television Critics Association panel by saying that the show will be back in 2015. It was further announced during the winter press tour that filming of the fourth season of ‘Girls’ will initiate later in 2014 in New York and the premiere will be planned during the next year.

However, this renewal of ‘Girls’ has come out to be a little surprising. The comedy which is created by Lena Dunham, who also stars in the show, has always been a part of the cultural dialogue. Apart from Game of Thrones, ‘Girls’ is one of the most dissected series of the HBO Network. The drama has always made highlights for its critics’ appreciation. Girls has been nominated for an Emmy and won two Golden Globes last year for the best comedy category and for the creator and star Lena Dunham. The show is competing again at Sunday’s kudos for the best comedy.

As far as its ratings are concerned, Girls has seen some normal ratings in same-day viewership but still is one of the largest DVR growers for the network. Last season of Girls saw an average of 6 million viewers every week, including replays.

Along with Dunham, Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner are the executive producers of Girls and Jenni also shares the screen with Dunham. Season one and two consisted of 10 episodes each and from the third season onwards the show will follow a 12-episode format. As of now, Girls is the only comedy show on HBO which has been ordered for a renewal. Way to go Girls!

24: Live Another Day has added Mary Lynn Rajskub, who will resume her role as CTU systems analyst Chloe on the 12-episode revival of the 2001-2010 FOX series. Having appeared in the second most number of episodes, Rajskub is the also the second cast member named to the production, which will debut in spring 2014. No details have been released about the project, though, aside from the fact that it takes place several years after the events of the final season.

The tour kicks off August 17th in Little Rock, Arkansas and hits the likes of Knoxville, Tennessee and Chapel Hill, North Carolina along the way; additional cities will be added at a later date. A complete list of dates confirmed thus far and information on the requirements to audition at the bus tour are available on AmericanIdol.com.

After revealing guest stars for Family Guy and American Dad during Comic-Con, FOX has unveiled those who will be heard during the next seasons of The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers. Premiering first will be Law & Order: UK on Wednesday, August 7th, where it will air alongside David Tennant’s Broadchurch; the seventh season of the legal procedural, which stars the likes of Bradley Walsh and Dominic Rowan, has been airing since July 14th in the UK. Starring Helena Bonham Carter and Dominic West as the title couple, TV movie Burton & Taylor is set to have its U.S. premiere on Sunday, October 20th. The film received strong reviews and solid ratings when it premiered earlier this month.

November 23rd will see the series premiere of Howard Overman’s fantasy actioner Atlantis, as well as the 50th anniversary special for Doctor Who; original movie An Adventure in Space and Time is also scheduled to premiere that month. The eight-episode second season of period drama Ripper Street, meanwhile, is set for Sunday, December 1st. That series stars Matthew Macfayden as DI Edmund Reid, one of the men in charge of going after infamous serial killer Jack the Ripper.

2014 brings the premiere of four-part series Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond in January and the second season of cult favorite Orphan Black in April. Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan will return sometime this spring, while the second season of zombie drama In the Flesh should see the light of day in the same time frame, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet. The three-part first season of In the Flesh aired earlier this summer on BBC America after a winter premiere in the UK.

Will you be watching the next season of Law & Order: UK? What would you like to see happen on season two of Orphan Black? Did you get a chance to check out the short run of In the Flesh earlier this summer?
