Additionally, the series, which originally had a six-episode order, will now have 10 episodes in its first season.

“We knew when we saw the exceptional pilot and immersed ourselves into the incredible world of intrigue that Tim and Gideon have created with DIG that we wanted more,” said USA President Chris McCumber. “With its multi-layered story, international locations, cinematic production and immensely talented cast, DIG promises to be a must-watch event series.”

Created by Tim Kring (Heroes) and Gideon Raff (Homeland), DIG focuses on FBI agent Peter Connelly (Jason Isaacs), who takes a job in Israel to escape his personal demons and give himself the type of fresh start that he needed. However, while attempting to solve the death of a young American, Peter discovers a conspiracy that goes back thousands of years and threatens to change the course of history as we know it.

In addition to Isaacs, DIG also stars Anne Heche (Save Me), Regina Taylor (The Unit), David Costabile (Low Winter Sun), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), and Omar Metwally (Non-Stop).

You can check out a trailer for DIG below.

Will you be watching DIG? Which USA show would you like to see it paired with next year? Is the extended first season order promising for the show’s quality?

The reasoning seems to be Satisfaction had stronger DVR numbers than its lead-in, an important factor considering that the latter was produced by an outside studio whereas the former hails from NBCUniversal’s Universal Cable Productions.

Created by Sean Jablonski (Nip/Tuck), Satisfaction follows married couple Neil (Matt Passmore) and Grace Truman (Stephanie Szostak) as they confront the issues that had been dragging their relationship down. After Neil catches Grace cheating on him with a male escort, he attempts to figure out where their marriage went wrong and how they can get back to where they used to be. The series, which averaged over two million viewers in L+7 numbers, also stars Michelle DeShon (Hollywood Heights), Katherine LaNasa (Deception), and Blair Redford (The Lying Game).

Rush starred Tom Ellis (EastEnders) as Dr. William Rush, a hard-partying medical fixer who served the Los Angeles elite. From Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies), the series featured Larenz Tate (Rescue Me), Sarah Habel (Underemployed), and Rick Gonzalez (Reaper).

Production on the 10-episode second season of Satisfaction should begin next year, with the series likely returning that summer.

Satisfaction joins a scripted lineup that includes conspiracy drama Dig, EMT comedy Sirens, and legal drama Suits, with decisions on Graceland, Royal Pains, Covert Affairs, and Playing House still to be made.

What did you think about the first season of Satisfaction? Are you surprised that USA opted to cancel Rush? How long will it be before we hear about the fates of the other USA series?

“This is a prime slot on our schedule for Benched. With Modern Family kicking off the night, followed by our laugh-out-loud hit series, Chrisley Knows Best, Benched will have a powerful comedic launch pad,” said Chris McCumber, President of USA Network. “We are excited to cap off the night with this standout comedy from some of the most talented creatives in the business.”

Created by Michaela Watkins (Trophy Wife) and Damon Jones (Halfway Home), Benched follows distinguished corporate attorney Nina Whitley (Eliza Coupe), who hits her breaking point when she learns about her ex-fiancée’s engagement and the fact that she didn’t make partner at her firm. Shunned from the corporate world, Nina can only get a job at the Public Defender’s office and must find a way to get along with her overworked co-workers who lack her professional pedigree, in addition to handling the decidedly less sophisticated clientele that she’ll be dealing with.

In addition to Coupe, Benched stars Jay Harrington (Better Off Ted), Oscar Nunez (The Office), Maria Bamford (Adventure Time), Jolene Purdy (Under the Dome), and Carter McIntyre (Drop Dead Diva), with the likes of Chris Parnell (Suburgatory), Fred Melamed (The Crazy Ones), and Jim Rash (Community) slated to guest star.

You can check out a clip of Benched, which will be USA’s third original comedy following Sirens and Playing House, here.

Will you be watching Benched? Are you excited to have Eliza Coupe as the head of her own series? Do you think this more overtly comedic version of HBO’s Enlightened will find an audience on USA?

“Complications is a story about the making of a hero – how an ordinary doctor’s split-second decision changes the course of his life and the lives of everyone around him,” said series creator Matt Nix. “It’s tremendous to be working with USA again and with such a talented cast. The writers’ room is going strong and I cannot wait for audiences to see this new series.”

Executive produced by Michael Horowitz (Burn Notice), Complications centers on suburban ER doctor John Ellison (Jason O’Mara), who intervenes in a drive-by shooting and saves a young boy in the process. However, Ellison killed one of the attackers and soon learns that the boy is the son of an influential gang leader, thereby putting a target on them both.

In addition to O’Mara, Complications also stars Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl) as reckless ER nurse Gretchen; Beth Riesgraf (Leverage) as John’s wife Samantha; and Lauren Stamile (Burn Notice) as Bridget, John’s co-worker who is forced to deal with the fallout from his decisions.

Complications is set to premiere sometime in 2015. The series joins the likes of Suits, Sirens, and Dig on USA’s 2015 slate.

Will you be watching Complications? Do you think the show sounds like it’ll fit in with the rest of USA’s lineup? What type of scripted content would you like to see USA premiere during 2015?

The reason for the postponement is said to be the production delays encountered due to the Gaza conflict, which prevented the series from shooting in Jerusalem beyond the pilot. Production eventually settled on Croatia, where they’re currently shooting, and New Mexico, where they’ll shoot next.

The move to delay Dig won’t have an impact on USA’s fall schedule, as the show didn’t have a concrete premiere date as of yet. The network recently announced that the six-episode final season of White Collar would premiere Thursday, November 6th, leading into the second half of Covert Affairs‘ fifth season, while the fates of Rush, Satisfaction, Playing House, and Royal Pains have yet to be decided.

Created by Tim Kring (Heroes) and Gideon Raff (Homeland), Dig stars Jason Isaacs (Awake) as FBI Agent Peter Connelly, who uncovers a history-changing conspiracy while investigating the murder of a woman in Jersualem. The series, which USA is reportedly considering order additional episodes of, also stars Anne Heche (Save Me), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Omar Metwally (Harry’s Law), Angela Bettis (May), and Regina Taylor (The Unit).

“From its inception, White Collar captured a massive and loyal following, in large part due to the incredible on-screen chemistry between Matt and Tim, who deserve credit for one of the most brilliantly performed bromances in all of television,” said Chris McCumber, President of USA Network. “The series also benefited from smart writing and an extraordinarily talented supporting cast, who helped it become a fan favorite crime drama for five straight years. This season will not disappoint, with an exciting and shocking ending Joan Rivers and the “Fashion Police” gang ripped apart justin bieber never say never movie on Friday. that fans will never forget.”

The six-episode final season of White Collar picks up following the fifth season”s cliffhanger, which saw Neal disappear without his ankle bracelet. The season, which will include guest stars Ross McCall (Hooligans), Gavin Lee (The Phantom of the Opera), Bridget Regan (Legend of the Seeker), and Diahann Carroll (Julia), is said to focus on Neal, Peter, and company banding together to bring down notorious crime ring The Pink Panthers.

Will you miss White Collar? How do you think the story of Neal and Peter”s unlikely friendship will come to an end? Is six episodes going to be enough of a send-off for the show that helped usher in a new generation of USA dramas?

“Suits continues to fire on all cylinders, delivering provocative storytelling and complex characters that viewers can’t get enough of,” said Chris McCumber, President of USA Network. “With some of the best writing on television, and a brilliant ensemble cast, we anticipate a spectacular fifth season for a series that has become a marquee property for USA.”

Having stayed in the top 10 of summer scripted series in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics, as well as total viewers, the renewal for Suits was a fairly easy decision to make for USA. However, the network still has quite a ways to go in terms of renewal decisions, as veterans Graceland, Covert Affairs, and Royal Pains are all currently without a renewal. Also looking for word on their fate are new comedy Playing House, which has already finished its first season, and new dramas Rush and Satisfaction. While there will be a delay on the latter two as the network continues to look at time-shifted viewing, a decision on the veteran dramas should come sooner rather than later.

Suits joins a 2015 lineup that includes comedies Benched, co-created by Michaela Watkins (Trophy Wife) and starring Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings), and Sirens, which was renewed for a second season earlier this summer.

Suits airs Wednesdays at 9:00 on USA, with the midseason finale coming August 20th. You can check out the TVHackr pages for Suits stars Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams here and here.

Have you been watching Suits this season? Where would you like the story to go come season five? How do you think the rest of USA’s renewals will go?

“Sirens resonated with a broad fan base, and we are excited to grow this new audience further, as season two promises a lot more laughs and irreverent humor,” said USA Network President Chris McCumber. “We’re pleased to continue our partnership with Denis Leary and Bob Fisher, whose unique brand of witty, off-kilter and laugh-out-loud writing is brought to life by the immensely talented cast.”

Averaging 1.62 million viewers, 870,000 in the key 25-54 demo, Sirens became the top new basic cable comedy series debut of the year. The series, executive produced by Denis Leary (Rescue Me) and Bob Fisher (Wedding Crashers), was the first original scripted comedy to launch under the network’s current push in the genre and showed ratings growth throughout its first season despite losing its lead-in halfway through. Renewal news for USA’s second original scripted comedy Playing House, which airs its season finale June 17th, has yet to be announced.

USA has been working overtime to diversify its programming beyond the so-called “blue skies” approach that vaulted it to the top of the cable heap. Last year, it premiered a darker procedural in Graceland, which is said to become fully serialized in its recently premiered second season, while picking up male escort drama Satisfaction, reality series Chrisley Knows Best, and two comedies in Sirens and Playing House.

Will you be watching the second season of Sirens? What type of comedy would you like to see USA pursue in the future? Should USA continue airing Sirens behind a drama or would they be wise to find a companion for it next year?

From Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies), Rush tells the story of renegade physician Dr. William Rush (Tom Ellis), who works as a medical fixer for the Los Angeles elite. Although he tries to keep his distance from the shenanigan his clients go through, he soon finds himself being consumed by the ugliness of the industry he’s chosen to make his living in. In addition to Ellis, the series stars Larenz Tate (Rescue Me) and Nicholas Gonzalez (Sleepy Hollow).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BePmjGqntpk

Created by Matt Nix (Burn Notice), Complications follows disillusioned suburban ER doctor John Ellis (Jason O’Mara) as his life gets transformed by a single incident he wasn’t prepared for. After intervening in a drive-by shooting and killing one of the attackers, he learns that the young boy he saved is still being targeted for death; though he vows to protect the boy at any cost, his views on life and medicine begin to shift almost immediately, possibly causing a fundamental shift in who he is as both a man and a doctor. In addition to O’Mara, Complications stars Beth Riesgraf (Leverage), Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl), and Demetrius Grosse (Banshee).

Satisfaction finds married couple Neil (Matt Passmore) and Grace Truman (Stephanie Szotak) struggling with questions about their relationship and battling with the idea that having it all might not be enough to keep them together. In addition to Passmore and Szotak, Satisfaction stars Blair Redford (The Lying Game), Katherine LaNasa (Deception), and Michelle DeShon (Hollywood Heights).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmFBn40vjhI

While Complications doesn’t have a premiere date as of yet, Rush is set to premiere Thursday, July 17th at 9:00, with Satisfaction following at 10:00.

Which upcoming USA drama will you be watching? Do you think something like Satisfaction, which appears especially off-brand from the typical USA drama, can find an audience? Should USA have paired both new dramas with something established this summer?

Tuesdays this summer will be filled by Royal Pains, which premieres its sixth season (and first on Tuesdays) June 10th, and Covert Affairs, whose fifth season is slated to begin June 24th. Meanwhile, Wednesdays finds a relocated dramas Suits and Graceland, both of whom aired on Thursdays this past summer; both series will premiere June 11th.

Finally, the network is utilizing an unusual maneuver by pairing new dramas Rush and Satisfaction on Thursdays beginning July 17th. The former tells the story of Dr. William Rush (Tom Ellis), a medical fixer charged with catering to the Los Angeles elite. In addition to Ellis, the series stars Rick Gonzalez. The latter, meanwhile, is said to delve into the unusual choices a married couple (Matt Passmore, Stephanie Szostak) make in the name of preserving their marriage and keeping their connection alive. The series also stars Blair Redford, Katherine LaNasa, and Michelle DeShon.

What will you be watching on USA this summer? Do you think either Rush or Satisfaction will breakout for the network? Is Suits going to be able to boost the ratings of Graceland?
