When the series returns, Nikita is the most wanted woman in the world after being framed for the assassination of the President. In an attempt to clear her name, she reunites with her old team in order to band together and take down Amanda for good, only to discover that she’s unwittingly involved in a conspiracy that could lead to global catastrophe.

The actioner, which stars the likes of Maggie Q and Shane West, takes over for current time slot occupant America’s Next Top Model, whose 20th cycle will thus conclude on November 15th. While it should receive a lead-in from The Carrie Diaries, which premieres its second season on October 25th and should run into December, Nikita will likely end her well-received run on the network alone, fitting considering the lone wolf nature of the title character.

What should be interesting to see is what The CW does on Fridays once The Carrie Diaries, America’s Next Top Model, and Nikita wrap their respective runs this season. They have a couple of new, inexpensive reality shows (Famous in 12, Masters of Illusion) and two currently unscheduled scripted series (The 100, Star-Crossed) at their disposal, though there’s always the option of moving something from an earlier day in the week, using the night for at least one hour of encores, or bringing something like Oh Sit! or Whose Line Is It Anyway? on as filler in case of an early cancellation.

Are you sad to see Nikita coming to a conclusion? Do you think that she and her team will be able to bring down Amanda? What type of conspiracy do you think Nikita is wrapped up in and will it undo the possibility of her happy ending?

Included in the chaos, mostly confined to the week of May 13th, are deaths, difficult decisions, and dangers that, if realized, could change the makeup of entire series. From the bayou of BlueBell to the ghostly haven of Mystic Falls, there will be a lot happening between now and the season finales of each CW show, but what exactly can we look forward to in the finales? Listed below are the season finale dates of each CW series, with the corresponding episode title and description.

Which CW finale are you most excited for? Will you be sad to see 90210 sign off one final time? What type of answers will we find in each finale?

Tuesday, May 7th
8:00 Hart of Dixie – “On the Road Again”
After having a rough time in BlueBell, Zoe (Rachel Bilson) decides a little time in New York City might be the perfect opportunity to give her some much needed perspective, but a medical emergency on the plane forces her to complete the trip with an unexpected companion. When Lemon (Jaime King) promises that the Rammer Jammer will be having a special concert with the band Gloriana, she must scramble to make it happen, with the less-than-enthusiastic help of Wade (Wilson Bethel).

Monday, May 13th
8:00 90210 – “We All Fall Down”
The series finale begins with the stars and executive producers bidding farewell to the famous zip code in a look back at the show’s many unforgettable moments. Then, in a memorable send-off, our favorite group from Beverly Hills will come together again after a traumatic event that makes them realize the importance of their relationships.

Wednesday, May 15th
8:00 Arrow – “Sacrifice”
In the episode season finale, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Diggle (David Ramsey) race to stop the Dark Archer (John Barrowman) from unleashing his vengeance on The Glades. After hearing of the danger in The Glades, Thea (Willa Holland) races to find Roy (Colton Haynes), inadvertently putting herself directly in the line of fire for Malcolm’s (John Barrowman) devious plan.

9:00 Supernatural – “Sacrifice”
With Crowley (guest star Mark Sheppard) poised to undo all the good they’ve ever done as hunters, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) find themselves cornered. But with Kevin’s (guest star Osric Chau) help, the Winchester brothers bound into one last play against The Demon King.

Thursday, May 16th
8:00 The Vampire Diaries – “Graduation”
On Graduation Day, Mystic Falls is overrun with ghosts intent on settling old scores. Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) life is in danger after a ghostly encounter, while Matt (Zach Roerig) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) join forces to battle a ghost determined to find the cure. Finally, Stefan (Paul Wesley) discovers a horrifying clue to the mystery surrounding Silas.

9:00 Beauty and the Beast – “Never Turn Back”
When secrets about Cat’s (Kristin Kreuk) family are revealed, it will change everything Cat knew about her past. Vincent (Jay Ryan) finds himself staring his demise in the face; while Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) takes drastic measures get some answers.

Friday, May 17th
8:00 Nikita – “Til Death Do Us Part”
Amanda (Melinda Clarke) puts her final plan into motion and forces Nikita (Maggie Q) into a life-threatening situation, where she has to choose between saving Michael (Shane West) or saving herself.

Beginning November 30th, Nikita will be moving back to the 8:00 hour that they occupied last season, while repeats of Arrow will be filling in at 9:00 until at least January 18th.

Nikita has been plagued by low ratings this season and it appears to be a positive step for the show to be aided this much by the network. Moving to 8:00 will get it out of the way of the final season of Fringe and NBC (relative) juggernaut Grimm, while the pairing with Arrow is a more natural fit than the lead-in the show had for its first few episodes of season three, America’s Next Top Model. Although you’d think that having Arrow as a lead-in would be more help, Nikita will be the only genre show in the 8:00 hour for the next couple of months and that could help it more than having a slightly boosted lead-in.

The CW has yet to release its mid-season schedule, but there are two options that would make the most sense for Nikita. Either the network would need to premiere Cult on Fridays, which seems like a no-brainer given the show’s subject matter (cult television), or slide Beauty and the Beast from Thursdays to Fridays, pushing Cult behind The Vampire Diaries. In terms of other (remotely) viable options: Arrow, while a comfortable fit with the third year drama, is doing well on Wednesdays and won’t be moved, the network moved Supernatural to an earlier night in the week to help its schedule, and Nikita debuted in the post-Vampire Diaries slot only to be moved after mediocre numbers.

With the other shows on the network not being plausible, it looks like Fridays will be a night of cult television this winter on The CW. One way or another.

For now, Nikita airs Fridays at 9:00 on The CW. Next week, the show will be preempted by an America’s Next Top Model special episode following that show’s fall finale.

How have you liked the third season of Nikita? Do you think that The CW is making the right move in moving Nikita back and pairing it with Arrow (for now)? What would you like to see Nikita air with come January?
