June and Mark have become obsessed with the latest reality dating show and Chloe convinces her to get back into the dating world herself, since she hasn’t really dated since breaking up with her former fiancee. However, Chloe and June end up asking the same guy out (guest star Kyle Howard) and can’t decide who should get to be the one to go out with him.

Enter James, who orchestrates a series of challenges meant to make the decision for them. June may not be the competitive type, especially with Chloe, but she comes to the conclusion that she wants to date this guy. With James evening the rules a little bit to help June out, banning sex for the first five dates they have with Daniel, she might even have a fighting chance of beating Chloe for his affections. Can she find it within herself to do anything that James thinks up in order to defeat Chloe and get back out into the dating pool for the first time in a while? And is this all a part of Chloe’s plan to show June that she really does want to be with someone?

Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 airs Sundays at 10:30 and Tuesdays at 9:30 on ABC. The episode airing Sunday finds June piecing together what happened during a day she can’t remember (thanks to Chloe), while James grapples with the possibility he impregnated June’s friend at her wedding.

With the beginning of any new job comes an introduction to a wide array of new people and June is now taking the social plunge at her job with Harken Financial. There she meets Fox, a fellow junior analyst who has pet sea monkeys, gives tips on keeping lunch fresh, and compliments her power brooch – so, she’s pretty much the perfect friend. However, when June tells Chloe about her new friend, Chloe informs her that Fox isn’t her friend; Fox is her nemesis. All the jewelry comments and questions about June’s family weren’t from how nice and curious Fox was about the latest employee at the company. They came about due to Fox scoping out June’s weakness to use against her at a later date…or were they? Could Chloe be lying to her roommate in order to keep her from pursuing a friendship with another person?

Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 returns from winter hiatus Sunday, January 6th at 10:30 on ABC. For the first three weeks of the year, the show, along with Happy Endings, will air new episodes on both Sundays and Tuesdays, staying in their 9:30 slot for the latter.

Currently, Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B— are scheduled to leave the ABC line-up in March to make way for another cycle of Dancing with the Stars, with Red Widow taking the Sunday at 10:00 slot earlier in the month. By giving the comedies the Sunday slot for the time being, they’ll either finish airing their entire episode order or come very close, as they’ll also be continuing their run on Tuesday nights beginning on January 8th.

Additionally, the remaining four episodes of 666 Park Avenue are scheduled to air this summer, though no exact premiere date has been announced.

Sunday, January 6th – Happy Endings, “Fowl Play/Date”
After Brad and Penny accidentally break Alex’s beloved childhood memento, they try to glue it back together. But they go from just being clumsy to “birderers” after Tyler, Alex’s racist parrot, keels over and dies from the glue fumes. Can they cover up the crime before Alex returns from her Rom-Com Com? Meanwhile, Jane and Dave try a little too hard to find a match for Max.

Sunday, January 6th – Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, “Paris…”
June is nervous and excited about starting at Harken Financial. Things go surprisingly well, and she even meets an incredibly nice co-worker, Fox Paris. Chloe warns June, though, that she shouldn’t be so trusting and that Fox is probably just keeping her enemies close. Meanwhile, Mark looks to James for help in expressing his newfound feelings for June.

Well, not that June has any say in the matter. In the sneak peek of the episode (below), Chloe wakes June up in a panic, telling her that they have to evacuate and to get her stuff. June, being June, grabs family photos and tinfoil, but there’s no emergency here – Chloe has arranged for a weekend of partying in the Hamptons. Both June and James have been stressing out over work situations (an impending interview and a recent job loss, respectively), which is no good for Chloe, who wants to hook up with the host of the party they’re going to…oh, and help her friends relax.

In what’s becoming the “norm” for Don’t Trust the B—- (if there can be a “norm” on a show this strange), the move has good intentions behind it that are masked by, well, bad actions. Chloe wants her friends to not be sad anymore and decides that they all need to get out of the city for a while, but she has to kidnap one of them in order to achieve her goal. (And we don’t even know how she gets James to agree to go, either.) Granted, June is the type of person who likely does have to be forced to have fun and something like this reinforces the fact that Chloe does, in fact, care about people, but the path to a relaxing weekend will ultimately be paved with more June freak outs, a lot of liquor, and even more questionable choices.

I can’t wait.

The winter finale of Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 airs tonight at 9:30 on ABC. The show will be returning to continue its current season on January 8th.

Will Chloe get to hook up with the party host? How will June react to essentially being kidnapped? Can a weekend away help get June and James out of their respective funks?
