The former, an FX crime drama that returns for its second season in July, garnered two supporting actress nods to go along with a series nomination, while the latter, in the home stretch of its second season, garnered nominations for all five of its lead actresses. Among the series that received multiple nominations were <em>Looking</em>, <em>Chicago Fire</em>, <em>Switched at Birth</em>, <em>Law &amp; Order: SVU</em>, and <em>Chicago P.D.</em>.</p>

It was the only series to score multiple wins at the ceremony, honoring positive portrayals of Latinos and Latin culture in entertainment, as <em>The Glades</em>, <em>Switched at Birth</em>, and <em>Chicago Fire</em> all earned one victory apiece. Elsewhere in the television categories, a special dedicated to recently deceased pop star Jenni Rivera took home Best Primetime Program: Special or Movie-of-the-Week, <em>Oprah&#8217;s Next Chapter</em> won Best National Informational Program, and HBO&#8217;s <em>24/7 Chavez-Martinez</em> beat out the likes of <em>The Voice</em> and <em>Project Runway</em> for Best Variety or Reality Series. Rounding out the television winners at the 28th annual ceremony, which also awards film and the internet, are <em>Austin &amp; Ally&#8217;</em>s Raini Rodriguez and <em>Handy Manny</em>.</p>
