Good news for the fans of Friends Alum Lisa Kudrow, there are a lot more therapy sessions coming up soon! Yes you heard it; Showtime has decided to extend the comedy series Web Therapy to a fourth season. As we all know, Web Therapy is a comedy show which is based on a therapist giving sessions over the internet and the show is created by Kudrow herself, who also plays the protagonist of the show. The show is jointly produced by Dan Bucatinsky (of Scandal), Don Roos and Lisa Kudrow.

The comedy series has successfully been running for three seasons and till date, has aired around 31 episodes on the premium network of Showtime. The last season, i.e. the third season of Web Therapy was concluded on a very dramatic, leaving the viewers anxious note in September 2013. The nest season will also consist of 10 awesome episodes, the premiere date of which will be decided and announced in the coming months.

In the previous three seasons of Web Therapy, the network collated a couple of short webisodes and filled the other half of the show with some extra content. The webisodes from season 4 & 5 were taken and compiled and aired on television as season 3 featured episodes. For the record, the fifth season of the online version of Web Therapy will wrap up around February.

Production partners Kudrow and Bucatinsky recently had their NBC series Who Do You Think You Are?, to be renewed for TLC. Bucatinsky said that Showtime has been an amazing collaborator for Web Therapy and there couldn’t be a better Network for the original comedy series like Web Therapy than Showtime.

Not only has Perry decided to act in the comedy, but is also co-writing and executive producing it along with Danny Jacobson. This one, where Matthew is starring as Oscar Madison, is going to be a retake on the Broadway play, movie and ABC comedy by Neil Simon. Mad About you fame, Danny Jacobson is co-executive producing and co-writing the comedy, for which they have already received a script and commitment deadlines from the CBS Network. Along with the CBS Television Studios, other executive producers for the comedy include Timberman-Beverly and The Tannenbaum Co. Sarah Timberman and online casino Carl Beverly and also Kim and Eric Tannenbaum.

This retake by Matthew Perry and the CBS Network will imbibe the revamp of Neil Simon’s classic, which was all about an arrogant Felix Ungar and his laid-back roommate Oscar Madison, which is to be played by Perry. Originally, the Broadway run show starred Walter Matthau and Art Carney, for which the former won a the Tony award for best actor and best play production, among many others. The play was followed by a film in the year 1968 and a sequel and then a comedy series on ABC which aired five seasons from 1970-1975.

Odd Couple will also mark a reunion for Matthew Perry and CBS, after his earlier shows with the network like Go On and Mr. Sunshine. Perry has also been seen frequently for his role on The Good Wife.

The production of the upcoming season of this Sitcom will be done by Showtime and co-produced by BBC. Episodes’ Season 3 is all set to premiere in the next year on January 12^th at 10:30 p.m and will be a part or Showtime’s winter schedule, alongside House of Lies and Shameless. The new season of Episodes is going to be aired on Showtime almost after one and a half years, quite a wait for the fans! The previous and the second season of the sitcom was a hit, drawing a viewership of 1.66 million, across different platforms.

In the upcoming season of Episodes, we will see Beverly, played by Tamsin Greig and Sean, played by Stephen Mangan, getting back together and Matt’s (LeBlanc himself) career continues to see downfall, so does his ego. This season’s guest appearances on the show will include the 24 fame, Chris Diamantopoulos and Roger Bart (from Revenge), who will be seen in a total of four episodes, playing LeBlanc’s agent. Also the Revolution fame Tracy Spiridakos will be guest starring as a member of the actress, Morning Randolph’s (Mircea Monroe) family.

For thos who are not aware, Episodes is a creation of David Crane, widely known for his immensely popular comedy series Friends, along with Jeffrey Klarik, known for Mad About You. The award-winning writing duo and executive producers of the show are known to pen down every single episode without a writer room. Jimmy Mulville also joins them as executive producer through his company Hat Trick Productions.
