Created by Susannah Grant (A Gifted Man) and Oscar winner David O. Russell, though the latter exited the project a month after its series order, Members Only follows the goings-on at an exclusive country club in Connecticut. Said to be an upstairs/downstairs drama that focuses on the dynamic between the wealthy members and working class employees, the series was one of multiple straight-to-series orders given by ABC this season, joining the likes of period drama The Astronaut Wives Club and crime drama Secrets & Lies.

In addition to Stamos and Zea, Members Only stars Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad), Boris Kodjoe (Real Husbands of Hollywood), Luke Mitchell (The Tomorrow People), Michael Landes (Save Me), and Chris Conroy (Sorority Row). Aside from his stint on Full House, which reportedly has a reboot in the works, Stamos has appeared on the likes of Necessary Roughness, The New Normal, and Glee, with a guest appearance on musical comedy Galavant to come next year.

Members Only is expected to premiere sometime midseason on ABC.

The series has already received a 13-episode commitment from ABC, though it remains unclear when and where it will be aired on the network.

ABC has 10 dramas in development this season, in addition to Members Only and crime drama Secrets & Lies, both already ordered to series. With the network’s freshman crop of dramas not doing so hot, Mind Games becoming the latest casualty of a rough time slot and viewer apathy, there’s a chance that ABC could order an inordinate amount of drama projects for 2014-2015 or, at the very least, what they do order will be on a longer leash. It would be hard for the network to sink lower in terms of launching new drama projects than they have this season and something like The Club reads as being right in ABC’s comfort zone, something its viewers have come to expect from the soap-friendly channel. But should the network put Members Only on in the fall and hope that it can stand out in the crowd? Or would holding it for midseason, despite the already promised 13 episodes, be more advantageous for both ABC and the series itself?

In addition to his role on the hit BET comedy, Kodjoe has appeared on the likes of Undercovers, Second Time Around, and Soul Food. He joins a cast that includes Betsy Brandt, Callie Hernandez, and Chris Conroy.

Brandt will play Leslie, a woman whose husband just ran off with his trophy wife stepmother and is now left to raise her 11-year-old son while navigating the confines of the club she’s never felt she belonged in anyway. Brandt joins a cast that includes Callie Hernandez (Machete Kills) and Chris Conroy (Sorority Row).

In addition to her roles on the acclaimed AMC drama and the struggling NBC comedy, Brandt has appeared on the likes of Body of Proof, No Ordinary Family, and Close to Home. She’ll next be seen in a recurring role on Showtime’s Masters of Sex, where she’ll be playing the new secretary of famed sex researcher Dr. William Masters beginning this summer.

Members Only has already been picked up for 13 episodes by ABC, though the series has yet to be scheduled. ABC reveals its full 2014 fall schedule Tuesday, May 13th.
