The fifth season of Justified was the first in the show’s run to receive a generally negative reaction, as the narrative was considered to be convoluted and overly padded, seemingly as a way to stall for the sixth and final season. With all the chess pieces now in place, though, and a clear end game in sight, Justified might be able to reverse the downturn in buzz and positivity it experienced during season five and go out with the type of bang one would expect from a show of its ilk.

In addition to his role in the 2003 comic adaptation, Elliott has appeared on the likes of Parks & Recreation, Aspen, and Once an Eagle, while Dillahunt’s television credits include Deadwood, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and John from Cincinnati.

The sixth and final season of Justified is set to premiere next January. Further casting for season six should be announced in the coming months.

John Landgraf shared with the reporters at the TCA that Justified is one of his favorite shows and he would’ve wanted for it to stay, although he has agreed to this decision taken by the showruner Graham Yost and the star of the show Timothy Olyphant.

The fifth season of Justified just kicked off earlier this month and now the next season will the final season of the show, which will be premiered sometime in 2015. Earlier the rumors quoted that the current season 5 is the show’s last season on FX but then after Landgraf’s statement at the TCA, it was confirmed otherwise. All rumors stating the fate of Justified were put to rest as the FX has made its official statement at the TCA. Although, we agree with CEO Landgraf on the fact that the show could have continued.

Along with Justified, several other popular shows are also getting over in the near future. FX would also be bidding adieu to its super hit dram Sons of Anarchy, which will be airing the final and seventh season during the fall this year. Joining the club are three other shows by HBO – True Blood, Boardwalk Empire and Newsroom, which are also saying goodbye by airing their finale seasons this year.

Elsewhere on Justified, Boyd will learn that Colt didn’t kill Ellen-May when he drove her out of town. She has a lot of information that could be used against him and Ava, so in addition to hunting for Drew, Boyd needs to find her and take care of matters himself before she can talk. If Ellen-May can keep away from the Crowders and get her story out there, Boyd may be out of business and no longer a feared Harlan County outlaw.

Tuesday, March 12th – “Get Drew”
Drew Thompson slips through the fingers of Raylan, Boyd, and the Detroit mob, and sets off a breakneck race to find him.

Justified airs Tuesdays at 10:00 on FX.

Is the real Drew Thompson someone Raylan already knows? Who will end up finding him first: Raylan, Boyd, or Theo Tonin? How will Boyd react to finding out that Colt didn’t kill Ellen-May and that the former prostitute is still out there, full of information that could bury him?

Although it looks to be only a one episode deal, it’ll be nice to have a little more screen time for Rachel, even if it’s something a bit light. Though she might be in a fair amount of the episodes physically, she very rarely gets a plot line of her own, which can be a bit frustrating because when she does get time, she’s an enjoyable character. With Justified’s well-defined (and generally rather dry) sense of humor, it could be end up being a fun subplot that balances out a heavier main story, helping the episode as a whole.

In addition to his role as Deputy Sheriff Cane on the FX biker drama, Garrett has appeared on the likes of Mike & Molly, Political Animals, and NCIS. Additional guests for the upcoming season of Justified include comedian Patton Oswalt and ER alum Ron Eldard, all of whom will be following in the footsteps of Emmy winner Margo Martindale, Neal McDonough, and Mykelti Williamson, among others. The seasonal “big bad” has yet to be announced, however; we don’t know yet who Raylan will be working against, but the show has had three strong central villains and a fourth seems like a likely occurrence.
