Zero Hour Series Finale Spoilers: Can Hank Save the World?

The closer that Hank Galliston gets to answers about his origins and the meaning of his recent journey on Zero Hour, the more danger he’s putting himself and his loved ones in. The team will be running into White Vincent soon, not out of coincidence but out of necessity considering their trek has almost come to a close, and that could mean that not everyone makes it back to New York alive. But before that final confrontation between the two former “brothers” comes to pass, Hank has to face revelations from his parents that they’ve been withholding for his entire life, information that could greatly impact all future moves made by their son and his colleagues. What could they have possibly deemed important enough to keep hidden from Hank for so long?

Listed below are the dates, titles, and descriptions of the final four episodes of Zero Hour.

Saturday, July 20th – “Escapement”
Hank, Beck, and Laila are in the Faroe Islands, unsure if they will live or die at the hands of the Pyrates. Rachel shares some surprising news with Hank about his parents and the 41 Trust. Hank’s mother finally discloses the deeply painful secret she’s been holding all these years, and a dumbfounded Hank realizes his father is the missing piece to the puzzle. But when Hank sets out to save him, he is thrust into a life-threatening situation which may spell his demise.

Saturday, July 27th – “Hands”
Injured and disoriented from his recent car accident, Hank awakens on Plum Island in the hands of Melanie Lynch, a.k.a “Mother,” and the 41 Trust. With the stakes higher than ever, Hank’s father agrees to continue his work for “Mother” to ultimately save his son’s life. While Beck frantically assembles a rescue team in an attempt to find Hank, Laila is impatient and secretly heads out on her own. Inside the Plum Island laboratory, White Vincent unknowingly enters a deal that costs him more than he could have ever envisioned – and with everyone racing to save Hank Galliston, not everyone who goes in, comes out alive.

Saturday, August 5th – “Ratchet” (8:00)
Everyone is on high alert, but their search for Rachel has met a dead end. However Hank has a dream which may contain clues that will guide the team to her remote location, and, hopefully help them stop the devious plan that “Mother”/Lynch has initiated in her “New Jerusalem.” Meanwhile, Theo and Vincent strike a deal that would be mutually beneficial; and Hank, Beck, and Arron travel to Tajikistan with Father Mickle and the Shepherds, and are thunderstruck by what they find waiting for them. Will Lynch’s final action be successful, and is this the beginning of the end of the world?

Saturday, August 5th – “Spring” (9:00 – Series Finale)
Arriving at the entrance to New Jerusalem, Hank, Beck, Arron and the Shepherds know it’s now or never to find Rachael and stop “Mother”/Lynch’s plan before it’s too late. But when the team unlock the doors, what they find is unimaginable. With faith shaken and time running out, can Hank and the team take down Lynch before it’s too late? Or will life as we know it end in an instant? With everything resting on his shoulders, it’s up to Hank Galliston to save the world.

Zero Hour airs Saturdays at 8:00 on ABC.

Zero Hour Cancelled by ABC

The end of Zero Hour has come, as the conspiracy drama has been cancelled by ABC after three low-rated episodes. Per TVLine, the network will pull the show from the schedule effective immediately, though no replacement has been named. Following the lowest-rated in-season scripted premiere ever for ABC, last night’s episode of Zero Hour hit a series low 1.0 in the 18-49 demographic.

With American Idol and The Big Bang Theory combining for nearly 7.0 in the demo and 23 million total viewers last night, in addition to a premiere on a lowly watched night (February 14th) and little to no awareness of the project, Zero Hour couldn’t find an audience and now furthers the so-called “Thursday curse” for the network. ABC has had difficulty filling the Thursdays at 8:00 slot for quite some time; since the 2009-10 season, FlashForward, The Deep End, My Generation, Charlie’s Angels, Missing, and Last Resort have all failed to gain a foothold.

The network has a handful of unscripted shows (Wipeout, Bet on Your Baby) that could be used to limp to the end of the season, in addition to repeats of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. Next season, though, they’ll have to decide if they want to launch another new drama there, fill the hour with unscripted content, or move an established scripted player (Castle, Body of Proof) there. Friday powerhouse Shark Tank is an outside option for the slot next season; it has an upscale audience that has grown each season its been on the air, meaning that the move to a weeknight might not be as damaging as it would be for another show. Plus, this could open up Fridays for a TGIF line-up, if they decide to keep at least two of Last Man Standing, Malibu Country, and The Neighbors.

Zero Hour starred Anthony Edwards as Hank Galliston, the publisher of a paranormal-enthusiast magazine who gets caught up in a worldwide conspiracy while trying to find the man who kidnapped his wife. Co-starring were Carmen Ejogo, Jacinda Barrett, Scott Michael Foster, Addison Timlin, and Michael Nyqvist.

UPDATE: According to TV Guide, Shark Tank will air in the timeslot for the next two weeks, followed by Wife Swap. Wipeout will take over on May 9th.

Two weeks ahead of its television debut, the first episode of Zero Hour has been made available for viewing by ABC. The show stars Anthony Edwards as the editor of Modern Skeptic, a magazine devoted to all things weird and wacky, and a man desperate for answers. When his wife gets kidnapped, he discovers that the clock she recently bought holds much more meaning in the grander scheme of things than either of them could have expected. Will he be able to keep the clock, which is what the kidnappers were after, out of the wrong hands while tracking down his wife before it’s too late?

“Strike” (Watch Here)
It’s a race against time for Hank Galliston (Anthony Edwards) after his wife, Laila (Jacinda Barrett), is abducted by the international terrorist “White Vincent” (Michael Nyqvist). As the publisher of a paranormal enthusiast magazine, Modern Skeptic, Hank has spent his career debunking myths and investigating conspiracies. Now, seemingly out of nowhere, he is thrust into the middle of one of the biggest conspiracies in human history, sparked by his wife’s discovery of an antique clock at a Brooklyn flea market — a clock that possesses much more than the power to tell time. With help from FBI Agent Rebecca “Beck” Riley (Carmen Ejogo) and his two young magazine staffers, Rachel (Addison Timlin) and Arron (Scott Michael Foster), they set out on a journey to find Laila, but soon find their mission is much bigger than just saving one woman.

Zero Hour will air Thursdays at 8:00 on ABC beginning February 14th.
