Each won their respective genre ensemble award, <em>Modern Family</em> for the fourth time and <em>Breaking Bad</em> the first, while Ty Burrell and Bryan Cranston were honored for their individual performances. The rest of the TV winners were a parade of award favorites, as Michael Douglas picked up a SAG to go along with his Golden Globe and Emmy for <em>Behind the Candelabra</em>, Dame Helen Mirren earned her first major honor for <em>Phil Spector</em>, two-time defending Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus rebounded from her Golden Globe loss to take her first SAG for <em>Veep</em>, and Dame Maggie Smith was given the nod for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for <em>Downton Abbey</em>.</p>

This time, it&#8217;s the Screen Actors Guild&#8217;s turn, as nominations for the 20th annual ceremony were released Wednesday morning. On the television side, there were no real surprises, with the likes of <em>Boardwalk Empire</em>, <em>Homeland</em>, and <em>Breaking Bad</em> receiving multiple nominations. <em>30 Rock</em> garnered three nods for its final stretch of episodes, including one that gives Alec Baldwin a chance at an 8th consecutive individual victory, while Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen were recognized from <em>Modern Family</em> and<em> Veep</em> continued its impressive awards streak by garnering nominations for defending Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus and its celebrated ensemble.</p>
<p>The 20th Screen Actors Guild Awards will be handed out Saturday, January 18th and will be simulcast on TNT and TBS.</p>
