His parents, Stephen and Linda, consider him as a loser and often ground him. At the end of the fifth season, Kenny was ousted for some time, and the boys had to decide a fourth member. They almost selected Butters, but later opted for Tweak, a hyperactive boy who drank a lot of coffee.

Butters does use profanity, but not as often as the other kids. He often swears by saying “oh hamburgers.” Butters fidgets with his hands and stutters a bit. He is happy-go-lucky and an innocent child at heart.

Kenny is the poorest kid in town, and has special powers. He has the power to die every day, and then be born the next day. In earlier seasons, each episode showed Kenny dying, with Stan or Kyle exclaiming “Oh no, they killed Kenny.” His super powers made him a super hero called Mysterion.

Kenny always has a parka hood over his mouth so his speech isn’t clear. Kenny’s parents are violent and alcoholic. He has an elder brother Kevin along with a younger sister. Kenny was replaced by Timmy in between, but things didn’t really work out and Kenny was back. Since Kenny doesn’t speak much, he has lost his importance in the show over time. Although all four kids of the show are shown to be foul mouthed, Kenny has been especially indecent.

His parents are Randy and Sharon, and he has a sister, Shelley who likes to bully him. His grandfather, Marvin, is wheelchair bound and forgets his name and calls him Billy. Stan’s father, Randy has appeared in many episodes as the lead character, and has thus become an important part of South Park. Stan also had a dog named Sparky who disappeared in later episodes.

Unlike others, Stan does not have distinguishing characteristics. While Cartman is the fat kid, Kyle is the Jew, Kenny is the poor kid, Stan is just an average American kid with both positive and negative sides.

Stan has a girlfriend, Wendy, and in the early years Stan used to throw up whenever he saw her. In later years, Stan was shown as more confident and he was able to talk to her easily. He has leadership skills and is often selected as the leader in various activities. He is a responsible boy and cares for his family. He is often stubborn in his views and once he simply refused to vote (Douche and Turd) even though he had to face many problems because of that.

He is an average boy who is smart and intelligent, but not as intelligent as Kyle, who is considered the most intelligent of the group. Stan likes to go on wild adventures and is mostly outgoing. The character of Stan was made after Parker, and the character of Kyle was made after Stone. Since these two are best friends, their relationship reflects the relation of their creators. These two friends often have disagreements but in the end they come together and forget their differences.

Kyle is usually shown as the most intelligent and having the highest moral standards as compared to other boys. As a Jew, he shows pride in his religion, but is often mocked by Cartman. Kyle has an irritating cousin who is also named Kyle.

He is a bad dancer and has a full head of fluffy red hair which is mostly hidden under his green hat. He mostly wears an orange jacket, green pants, and lime mittens, though he did change clothes in some episodes. He is shown to have exceptional computer skills as he is the main person of the group who researches for things on the internet. He also used public resources in a show (The Snuke) to prevent a terrorist attack.

He also has rational and scientific thoughts and he questions why things happen. He is also proficient in many languages, including Pig Latin, which he showed in the episode, Cartman’s Silly Hate Crime. He has a weak immune system and falls sick more often than the other kids.

He is a basketball player and once even got a “negroplasty” to become a better player. Though a kind and considerate human, he does like to swear and is mostly uncreative, as he chose the role of Human Kite when he had to be a superhero.

South Park is one of the most popular animated shows, and gave rise to many controversies, including the famous “Everybody Draw a Mohammad Day”. South Park has offended each and every faith and race, and thus has earned a lot of controversy. South Park originated when Stone and Parker made two small shorts that became viral on the internet. This later led to the creation of a new TV series, and later a movie was made: “Bigger, Longer, and Uncut”.

The show revolves around four kids: Eric Cartman, Kyle Broflovski, Stan Marsh, and Kenny Mc Cormick, though with time, they have been introducing more characters, and now Butters Stotch can be considered another important member of their gang. The episode generally involves things happening around their school, or generally something that goes on in their city, South Park.

South Park has always seen big rating success, which has been good for Comedy Central, the network that started showing ‘in the map’ because of the show.

The show always depicts taboo subject matters like toilet humor, disregard for people’s feelings, and negatively depicting liberal causes, making fun of conservative thoughts, and portraying religion in a comic way. When the TV series became popular, there were many schools that barred their students from wearing clothes that depicted South Park or were related to the show. Eric Cartman was voted as the favorite personality of kids in 1999, which irked many parents and teachers. Later it was said that the show is intended for mature audience.

He is a strict anti-Semite and regularly makes fun of Kyle for being a Jew. Cartman hasn’t shown a lot of romantic interest in anyone, basically because he is sexist and hates everyone, except in one episode (Chef goes Nanners) when he expressed interest in his classmate, Wendy. However, in one show (Breast Cancer Show Ever), Wendy beats Cartman in a school fight.

Cartman is a single-parent child who lives with his mother, Liane Cartman. Till later seasons, Eric Cartman’s father was a big mystery. It was later revealed that his father was Jack Tenorman whom he accidentally killed, cooked in chili and fed to his half brother.

Other kids often make fun of Cartman because he is fat, while he always opposes by saying that he is just big boned. His image has changed over the years. In the episode Cartman Finds Love, he has shown his positive side. Overall, Cartman is an obnoxious child who has mellowed down with passing seasons.
