Plot Summary
Homeland is the story of a CIA agent secretly battling bipolar disorder. Carrie Mathison receives intelligence that Nicholas Brody, a POW held captive by Al Qaeda and rescued after eight years has been turned and is working to carry out domestic terrorism on US soil. With everyone against her, she fights valiantly to prove her point, leading to her dismissal, a stint in a mental institution and resulting EMP treatment.
A year later, Brody is a congressman in line for bigger things and Carrie is teaching English to immigrants while trying to get her life back together. Her one-time handler, Saul, comes back to America after a trip to Beruit with the evidence he needs to prove Carrie had been right all along. Reinstated to the CIA, Carrie and Saul work together to turn Brody back toward America so they can work together to stop an attack on the US.
Starring Clare Danes, Damian Lewis, Mandy Patinkin and Morena Baccarin, Homeland airs on Sunday nights on the Showtime network.
