]]> Starring Jay Ryan as Vincent Keller, Kristin Kruek as Catherine Chandler, Nina Lisandrello as Tess Vargas, Austin Basis as J.T. Forbes and Max Brown as Even Marks,  The Beauty and The Beast is a reimagining of the hit show from the 1980s. This time, The Beast is a product of war. Recruited as a super soldier during his tenure in Afghanistan, Vincent has been in hiding with the help of his friend, J.T.,  after nearly exposing his identity when coming to the aid of Catherine and her mother during an attack that left Catherine’s mother dead 10 years earlier.

For years Cat has wondered about the identity of the creature she thought she saw at the scene, and together with her partner, fellow police officer Tess, she was lead to the door of Vincent Keller. After discovering his secret – that when enraged he becomes a beast, unable to control his super strength and heightened senses – Cat vows to protect Vincent in return for any information he can share on her mother’s murder.

Together they embark on a new relationship as he tries to remain hidden from the world and she tries to uncover the truth behind a personal cold-case, while still fighting crime, taking care of her younger sister, Heather and lightly stepping around the possible entanglements of love with Max.

Beauty and The Beast is brought to you by CBS Television and premiered on the CW Network on Thursday, October 11, 2012. Three extra scripts have been ordered as of October 23rd, and the rights have been sold to the United Kingdom for overseas broadcast.
