The Bachelor Heads Out On First Dates Tonight

The-Bachelor-W2PreLast week on The Bachelor, America got its first glimpse of how Sean Lowe would be handling his new role as the suitor to 26 ladies vying for his attention and it turns out, so far so good. Despite some definitely unstable women and even one ready to go “Fifty Shades of Grey” on him right from the get go, Sean kept a cool head and seemed to weed out many of those that would have made ABC happy in terms of scandalously annoying television.

Right from the start, Sean seemed to want to cut to the chase, not looking to make the ladies he felt confident about wait to learn their fates by handing out roses at will. Of course, this did send a few women into a spin when they did not receive roses after their one on one time, but all in all, it seemed to work out and only left a few roses left to give out at the actual rose ceremony. It will be interesting to see if this will be a trend for the Sean Lowe rose ceremonies or if it was a onetime deal.

Tonight on The Bachelor, the first of the dates begin, and it looks as though the claws are already coming out before they’ve even had time to settle in to their home. With such a likable and eligible bachelor up for grabs, there’s no doubt the women will be going all out to win Sean’s affection. After all, they fought over Brad Womack on his second time around, and he wasn’t nearly as eligible…or likable.

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8/7 on ABC.

As a long time writer and aspiring beach bum, I appreciate the opportunity to get to justify my TV addiction by writing about the shows I love to watch. It’s true that I’ve been on a bit of a reality kick and, like a traffic accident, just can’t stop watching those competition singing and dating shows. I also enjoy a good comedy and even throw in a drama for good measure when I can squeeze in the time. When I’m not writing or watching the tube (do they call it that anymore?), I’m hanging at the beach with my family and trying, to no avail, to cook like Gordon Ramsay (Yes, I like those reality shows too).
